Who'll be our next Yuvraj Singh, Dhoni & Raina?

LHBs seem to be more clutch in these big games. So the likes of Pant, Jaiswal, Tilak, Rinku, Sai Sudarshan, heck even Sundar need to be backed. Sundar is fragile but can't we have the best trainers and nutritionists working with him, surely BCCI can afford taking better care of our promising youngsters?

Have seen enough games to conclude that Siraj is mediocre, his honeymoon period is over. Forget Bumrah/Shami, this guy is not even in the Ishant/Umesh class. Also is an awful fielder/catcher, and can't hold a bat. Time to move on from him.

Hardik is 100X better bowler than Siraj.

We need Parag,Rinku in the late middle order. Both can bat according to situation, can bowl and also are good fielders

He has one issue, not sure if commies has noted it.

He is very much hoick dependent.

The minute bowlers are on top and there are few dot balls, he will try to use slog as pressure release shot..getting caught in the deep.

Rinku in comparison has much more rounded game.

Yuvi - tilak varma

Dhoni - pant

Raina - none

  Good picks .

Yuvi -> Tilak , Big boots to fill in , but my bet is on this guy Tilak . Good both on off & on . Hits good balls to boundary. Has both timing & Power  Plus can be as good a part time bowler as Yuvi. Good in fielding too. Age also in his side . Even Yuvi took almost 3-4  years to be consistent while he was winning some critical matches on his own like natwest final in those initial phase.

Dhoni -> Pant - Batting wise he will comfortably beat Dhoni (hoping gest full fitness back) , but cannot beat MSD in keeping, Cricketing IQ & captaincy . MSD on a different level as total package . can't see anyone in that league.

Raina - I think the most easier one to find . Raina had serious flaw as a batter.I am 100% sure we will find a better lower order batter than him .

Beyond Bumrah & shami he is the best we have, unfortunately.

Another point needs confirmation . Gives a feeling- Is he is more a basher of average level bowling . At better quality bowling has not been consistent be it IPL , Or even in domestic against some quality bowling . Need that doubt to be cleared before getting selected at national level.

Still waiting!

For finding the next gen players you'll first need to give chances to the next gen players. We have likes of Jaiswal, Parag, Rinku sitting on the sidelines and the ODI side is filled with oldies and TTFs like Kohli, KL Rahul, Rohit etc.

If we've to, we should only play Rohit as the only "senior" as captain and bring in youngsters. We've seen the T20 team revamped with the new players and with the change in approach. But we're still playing the same players whose best is past them.

Given the next WC is in 2027 if we go with the same players, we'll have Rohit and Kohli around 40 years and Kohli has already declined that any runs by him is a bonus at this stage. Rohit is unlikely to maintain his aggressive starts 3 years down the road. And KL Rahul is KL Rahul - a panauti. How he's ahead of Pant is mind boggling as he just finds a way to lose. This was the perfect opportunity to try players like Jaiswal, Parag, Rinku and bringing back Pant but we're back to the oldies. Plus like sof Parag and Rinku can contribute with the ball as well, especially on these pitches.

S Iyer will be the next Rayudu.

Kela will be the next Manish Pandey.    Pretty sure Iyer's batting will improve significantly once he retires.  Just like Rayudu (who proved it in the Legends tournament last month):phehe:

What exactly did Dhoni help India win with his bat except that one finals knock. He screwed India more than he helped India win.

He gets way too overrated for that one glorious innings in the final. He was a complete fraud in t20. For such a paaawaar star.
