That is the spin these idiot Dravid wants to tell.

if Kishen was keeper in SA   He would not have anywhere.

TM is  hell bent on destroying his morale. Why are they doing this so his pet KL Rahul can find a spot in the team.

That's just conspiracy theory. He was selected in SA but later withdrawn as he asked for a break. Otherwise wouldn't have been selected in first place.

KL is not a competitor to Kishan unless he keeps. He himself scored ton in SA and you want to drop him.

I am not asking to drop kl Rahul but no way he should have played in SA just like no way Bharat should have played here.

Kishen might be worst but he is still better than Bharat.

There needs to be same treatment for every player.

How did  Kl overtake Kishan without playing single test in SA and how did Bharat who was not even in the squad become primary keeper here .

is this way young players will be treated ?

ironic that players like this can be picked to play for the national team... only in India this happens.

It's ok to have weaknesses but Ishan simply did not improve enough.

He played a horrible innings against SL in the Asia Cup and also horrible against BD.

Terrible against Australia at Mohali and in the World Cup at Chennai

Was struggling at 14 off 24 despite India being 100/0 against Afghanistan . Only then could he accelerate.

Again useless Agarkar and TM ruining the confidence of youngster. Why was he left out the squad for t20s.First they screwed his test spot by giving it to KL then they kick him out t20 squad itself.

One player keep getting chances but this guy has to go back to domestic cricket.

Ishan Kishan is a no talent hack. Maybe good for T20 and IPL but not test class. He also thinks he is a superstar already. Better off giving chance to Dhruv Jurel or another youngster.

This, he should be nowhere near the test team.

He's been pathetic in T20 for a long time now. Plus top order spots are taken

You need to remove your bias before blaming everybody under the sun.

Ishan Kishan To Be Axed From BCCI's Central Contracts? Board Official Says This

Many reports have suggested that Ishan Kishan's lack of game-time after the South Africa Tour ended may have raised a few eyebrows

Ishan Kishan has constantly been in the news for the past one month since he took a break midway into India's Tour of South Africa. While the BCCI was supportive of his decision to take a break, what many reports have suggested is that Ishan Kishan's lack of game-time after the Tour ended may have raised a few eyebrows. Despite Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid saying that Ishan Kishan needs to play some form of cricket, to make a national team comeback, Ishan Kishan has been absent from the scene. Despite the ongoing Ranji Trophy campaign, Ishan has not been competing in the premier domestic competition and rather training on his own.

These have led to speculation about Ishan Kishan's future in Indian cricket.

Asked if Kishan Kishan would find himself out of BCCI retainership (he has a grade C annual contract of Rs 1 crore), a senior BCCI official told PTI on conditions of anonymity: "No discussions have taken place as of now regarding central contracts."

With the ICC T20 World Cup in the Americas, starting from June 1 and India playing their opening game on June 5 in New York, the workload of India's core group of players during the IPL, which is going to be tentatively scheduled between March 22 to May 26, will be very important.

However, it is understood that no Indian players are supposed to be given any instructions about workload management during IPL as it is also not fair to the franchises, who are paying top dollar to star Indian players.

"They are being paid highly and they can't pick and choose games for franchises. But yes, for all those centrally contracted and targetted players (next lot), the franchise's support staff will have to regularly provide fitness update to the NCA Sports Science head Nitin Patel," an official told PTI.

It is understood that BCCI might send the players, whose teams don't qualify for the IPL play-offs, earlier to New York, while those who play the knock-out stages join them after the tournament gets over.

Lack of planning  lead to this position, Ishan himself is nt intnl quality yes he got runs whenever given chances but donot think he can handle a decent quality bowling attack.

He made into Ind team on the back of a just 1 good IPL season, the problem was Ind never planned when Dhoni was there. There should have been back-up plan ready.

Pant had a decent run in Tst but ODI and not to mention T20s are not his best format. As the result of it and Ind TM inclination to have KL in the team lead to Ishan warming the benches. And KS is no big upgrade on Kishan.

Ishan can play only as opener where three is already better options are available.

Compared to other keepers around the world- Eng can not fit billings into the team he is better than Kishan, Inglis (Aus) is 2nd wk choice for Aus -Kishan is not better than him. WI has Hope and Pooran both are better than Kishan.

Its lack of planning. Ind has been carrying a player who can only bat as an opener where you already have so many better options and then Jitesh (or some1 like) should have been natural choice in white-ball who can bat anywhere in middle order.

Kishan should have all rights to take a season off and plan his future where does he want to go from here? Bat in middle order, continue as opener or does he want to put more focus on white ball cricket from here on.

TM did same thing with Venky Iyer (KKR) a decent LH top order bat was asked to play in middle order and then he never got a decent rope into Ind team.

Sen, Umaran even  Chahal has not been handled in good way.
