It seems the ICC has decided that every WTC Final would be held in the month of June.   Can BCCI show its power and force ICC to hv that Final little later (like July)?.     Coz our test team is bound to fail if WTC final is held in June (which comes immediately after IPL.  Our players get exhausted. And find it challenging to adjust to Test format after having played 2 months of T20).

BCCI will arrange 5 match T20 series in June so it doesn't matter if final happens in July.

Plus new cycle starts with English summer and home games in July.

Only shot India has at WTC is if final happens in Dominica or Port of Spain lol...  Only Carribean hosts test cricket in June/July apart from Eng

Maha chewts are the people who throng to WPL  stadiums with their league banners to support Australia. :hysterical: last time i checked, all the angrezi ladkiyan are performing. Desi girls are absolute dud.. Ahahahaha. It's like a circus in which foreign animals perform and get paid handsomely. :hysterical:

Haven't watched a single WPL game. Watched only two international games of the women's team and both were utter disappointments. I decided I have seen enough and moved on.

Scheduling IPL after June would be the most practical and best solution.  IMHO.    Otherwise we are likely to achieve an unbeatable record of having lost 10 out of 10 WTC Finals by 2050.

You are asking the impossible,IPL after June means lots places under monsoon cover and washouts as a result

No way they are going to play IPL across India in that wet season

There is a reason they choose the driest and hottest time of the year

Easy when no one cares about you losing or winning in Australia in tournaments except ashes and India away and home tour. Pressure is low as Aussie fans don't treat cricket like a religion.

South Africa has even less pressure on them but they've dug themselves into the biggest mental hole in cricket

Then the easiest option before BCCI would be to start the IPL in the 1st week of march so that it ends by early or mid of May.  That would give about 20-25 days to our test team to prepare for WTC Final.

India top can play test in June either in Bengalore or Dharmshala. Did play one test in Bengaluru against Afghanistan.

So for the sake of one test, they have rechedule everything, would it not be easier to ask ICC to put the ICC finals in middle of July.

Why does it have to be in start of English summer when it is normally cold and iffy weather.

When England became a force in odis in 2019, they made sure the world cup was played till middle of July.

Next year we are free after mid February (in fact major assignments over with the New Year's test in SCG). By end of Feb, so are Aus, Eng, NZ, WI, RSA. We must start the IPL 3-4 weeks in advance so that we can prepare for the WTC final.

No, IPL has schedule, why should it be altered  for the sake of one test.IPL is catered for families who can go to these games after school exams.

Unless there is some political issues like elections, IPL should have a set schedule.

Every year it's the same. Hyderabad started to boil in the first week of March, suddenly this week the mornings & evenings are back to pleasant weather. We will see another rise though by March end-April start will which continue till June.

Australians should include will pucoksvi and Aaron Hardie in their test squad so that their batting will become strong in test matches and Smith should not open the innings in test matches or if Australians want to open Smith in test matches they should prepare flat pitches without seam and swing with only just pace and bounce.
