After the WC 2023 squad was selected, Rohit claimed something to the effect that it was his chosen squad. 

 

He is still the captain and generally beleives in choosing players who he is comfortable with. We saw the same in MI too when he was the captain. Saw very few new names, Mohsin Khan did not get a single game under him. 

 

So, why are we expecting any new or even newish players  !  (   I am guilty too of impractical expectations  )

This has to be one of the most anticipated team selection in recent times. We kinda knew what the team would be for the other events as we had series right before world T20. This time we go to wt20 straight from IPL.

Bhuvi should be in the squad.  If Bumrah has a niggle then we need an experienced backup to lead the attack.

 

Mukesh should be there. He is a Shami-clone. He maybe much slower, less bouncy and less skilful but he is still a clone according to our ex-players who understand cricket much more than we do. 

 

Hardik Pandya should be there because he could bowl at 140 k earlier and he could hit 3 seasons back. 

 

Dangerous pace attack.  Dangerous for whom, well it should not be discussed.

Dravid will ensure another early exit at wc in WI
