  1. 1. Who should be Indian wicket keeper for T20 WC?

Pant has always been trash in T20.  66 intl T20 matches is a huge sample size. Jitesh, Kishan and Jurel are not reliable either.  Kela is a mental midget cum panauti/choker.

I would go with Samson and make him bat no at 4 or 5.   He is a decent top order batter (but doesn't hv a good record while batting in lower order).

With bowling attack of Siraj, Mukesh, Unadkat, Chahal do we even need a keeper in the XI? Or anyone standing in that position?

Put Kohli there. At least that way, we don't have to see him so often :P

So based on the performance of IPL, who should be India's keeper in the upcoming T20 WC?

Is it too early to bring back Pant in international set up?

Kishan is the most logical choice

Or will Dravid trust Rahul again?

Depends on where are you looking to slot your keeper.

If you want a keeper who can bat at 5,6 or 7. Jitesh & Jurel are logical choice.

If you need someone to bat in top 4...KL, Pant, Kishan, Samson are the options.

At no way, we should pickup a Samson, Pant, Kishan or KL and later ask him to bat at no 5,6. They will fail most of the time as none of them are fit in that spot.

KL & Samson need time..while Kishan & Pant Suck at strike rotation.

Jitesh has weakness against back of length but he can absolutely murder the spinner and on the front foot vs pace. Jurel can play unorthodox shots against pace and use the dimensions. Both can go from ball one.

At 5 or 6 most of the time they will be facing fast bowlers. That rules out Jithesh.

What has Jurel done in t20s. His SR is 139. That is just not good enough IMO.He is not a power hitter either.

All these things are adding up for KL rahul becoming WK.Rinku Singh if he was Wk would have been perfect match.

No one in middle and lower order after no 4 will ever be good enough. Samson will have the exact same issue as Pant. Our stat padding culture will never allow middle and lower order to flourish, how many balls did pant even face in those 66 matches?

IMO the two keepers should be thought of as:

1.  Back up player in the top 3 + keeper option if required -> one of Kishan/Samson/KL

2.  Bat at 5-7 + be the keeper -> one of Pant/Jitesh/Jurel

Selectors might pick KL and Pant.

My choice would be Samson and Jitesh.

If Pant is the keeper and he is batting in middle order then he is useless.

Dravid had Pant in the team and KL Rahul was unable to put bat on ball in most matches still our great coach kept opening with that bozo.

Just to break up all righties Pant should have promoted to take care of spinners. But Dravid and strategy don't go hand in hand.
