Likweise, MI ek aisa rahi hai jo apni Manzil dhund lega, bas rasta bhatak gaya hai. Yeh woh rahi hai jo Manzil paya hai 5 baar. MI will win 6th time as well. Winning IPL trophy is very tough. For some perspective in context of 18 years of IPL, DC,PBKS and LSG has won nothing, RCB took 18 years to win first IPL, RR haven't won since 2008, GT once, SRH twice, and KKR thrice. At times there will be seasons when MI too will struggle. MI has a great legacy with 5 IPL trophies in the cupboard. There will be always be Up's and Down's , and MI has seen more ups than any other IPL Franchisee. This is a downward phase that it has to go through as a cricket team. Other teams have not even won IPL even once , there are only few who have won IPL just once, only one team has won thrice and the elite MI and CSK have won 5 times. No wonder, MI and CSK has gone through the peak success phase and the downward stage is just a natural progression of the next upward phase which will follow. As Mumbaites, we need to realize we are the best and most successful franchisee and being Mumbaite we need to support it fully.

MI's under-performance in IPL over the last few years has to be a case study. They've the two MVPs of Indian white-ball cricket in their team in Bumrah and Pandya. When you pencil in your playing XI for Indian team, these two are the first 2 names on the sheet. On top of it they have Tilak, one of the best young players in world cricket in T20 and had Rohit and Rickleton at the top along with India's T20 captain in SKY. Pollard was caught giggling and he made a face towards the cameraman like “Kya Yaar, why you are focussing on us this time”… Pollu is the “batting coach”. Need the whole coaching team to be sacked. But the issue is much larger. MI is a multinational franchise and has MI teams in various leagues and these loser coaches are “coaching” through out the year in different leagues. They make goof money and don’t give a damn. Ambanis have to sack them from all the leagues. That might not be possible and hence the status wuo. The downfall of teams like MI started when they expanded the franchise to various other leagues and focus is on PR, Merchandise etc. Match fixing earnings are on top of it. I cannot bring myself to accept that they failed to chase the total yesterday. They kept losing wickets deliberately. And I was kinda aware this will happen right from the beginning. Even on paper they aren't strong Who will say a side comprising Rohit Dhir SKY Pandya Chahar is strong on or off the field? People just choose not to say anything negative about last 2 T20 WC winning captains,but they are done Pandya isn't in good frame of mind,Dhir is quite mediocre to get every game,rest 3 as I said are well past their peak
