What a load of cr@p. He has failed in every knockout. He doesn't have any match-defining innings in an ICC tourney when someone like Head has 2 - WTC final and WC2023 final.

All he has achieved is stat padding a la Babar and Rizwan. When it really mattered, he failed to show up.

Gambhir wins icc cups while sachin statpads 100 centuries... so who is better?

Didn't Sachin help in the same world cup semi finals which India won? And he has not played any t20wc.

So Kohli fans but but but Rohit has became but but but Sachin?

Didnt Kohli helped in the same Final which India won? Didnt kohli high scored in the CT india won? Didnt Kohli captain India to 5 test maces.

Yes he did, I think the questions are about Wt20, ODI is his strongest format.

Nappies, it’s all about nappies. He missed out nappy changing time due to IPL, so as a father he is just trying to make up lost time.

Go easy on him during his twilight IPL years.

as I see it, Kohli's strongest format right now is ODIs. In T20s, his game is not suited for pattas, but can work on 150-160 pitches.

In tests, not only has his batting declined (cannot recall any 75+ score of note in last 2-3 years that was a match-winning performance), but he has also had several breaks (even if they are legit reasons).

Hence, the order in which he should be phased out is: tests, then T20s, then ODIs.

2011 final contribution kohli > sachin..

2003 wc final sachin innings << 2023 wc final kohli innings

Hence proved head = gambhir >> kohli >>>> sachin

if he wants to take breaks in warm ups, that's one thing. if he is going to pick and choose test series at random from hereon, that's another thing.

Head - MVP in WTC Final and WC 2023

Kohli - "King" of choking

Yup, I know whom I would want in my team in knockouts. Looks like I'm a moron for showing you that your "king" is wearing no clothes :giggle:

This is the ODI world cup semi/final record in Indian history

Kohli including his 117 on a high way where both teams almost made 400 runs averages only 36 @81 with an SR of 81.  So 117 in one innings. 100 runs in the other 5 innings.  MSD despite playing 2 less innings despite batting down the order has more runs, more average, more strike rate.

why are QFs ignored. they are KOs, and likewise there are virtual KOs that should be included (even if they are not "formally" KOs).

We will have to go all the way up to first match lol Semi final and final are the most important games though where best 4 teams standing facing each other. Sometimes in QF  you play teams like Bangladesh like we did in 2015. Very rare you play an average team in semi final (2003 semi kenya)

Also, the 117 was at a fairly low SR. All other top 5 batters scored at SR>120, while Kohli scored at 103. Iyer's innings was the one that made the difference in that match. NZ could have got much closer if not for some fabulous bowling by Shami.

yup. Because of the volume of runs he makes these things go unnoticed much like how his playoff records in IPL is poor because of the volume of runs he scores in league stage.

no, first round is not KOs in general. some of super 6s could be, and obviously QFs are KOs too

If you add that Kohli's average goes further down to 30. ROhit suddenly gets an average over 53. Probably a quarter final specialist. Just checked. Just 1 quarter final he played against Bangladesh made 137.  Raina has 65  vs BD & 34 vs Australia.
