Pant is a better batsman. Pant's issue is he hasn't cracked this format quiet yet. Just when you think he is doing well then he plays an atrocious innings. So i am not sold on either for different reasons.

Rohit seriously needs to come down the order, that way he will be able to arrest any collapse, also he will have to start hitting from ball one

within the given constraints of the 15, this is a decent XI. I wouldn't choose arshdeep, but the rest looks good. Sardar-ji's batting has improved though, so he could play at no. 9 as a hitter if needed

Pant will be useless at that position, he is not a death over slogger. He needs to play above both pandya and dube or we should replace him with a death over hitter.

I think Jaiswal could also be used in middle order. If Jadeja/Axar are offering just 4 overs.He should replace one of them and given one or two overs.He along with Dube can bowl 4 overs.

 

Our moronic captain and coach had healthy Pant in 2022 but kept opening with that idiot KL Rahul.They could have opened with Kohli then also and sent Pant at number 3.

Rinku would've been like gold dust here lower down the order in place of a spinner. Have him in place of Axar or Jadeja, and the team suddenly looks much more solid.
