Has there ever been a player who has come out smaller in knockouts than Kohli?

Very good knock by Kohli. He was the reason we recovered to a good score from 3 early wickets.

Really tough to criticize that knock. Only beef is that postrepair period of 30+ balls without a boundary.

Yes. Would have loved to see him accelerate a bit more.

Was at a disastrous 50 off 48 at one point. Ended with below average innings. 15 more runs and it would have been atg innings and definitely a match winning one.

But he should get credit for the repair work ... And then squandered it. Frustrating.

To the naysayers Dalye Steyn in post match presentation " There is a stat that 85 % matches are lost if 3 wickets are lost".  Kohl's knock is the difference playing through.  Klasens 24 runs off axar Patel made the match closer otherwise India had just enough runs on the board.

To the  trollers trolling kohli, India were 168/5 in 19 overs. With  Hardik , jaded in the crease, it could have been a 15 run over. India was short by 6 runs which made the target 177. Remember on the same pitch, India scored 184 in the match against Afghanistan. Considering its final, India did great with kohli scoring significant amount of runs.

It was a poor knock given the nature of the pitch - par score was around 190. However, he does get benefit of doubt due to Pant and SKY shytting their pants in the final. But Bumrah was the one who managed to save our blushes. And judos to Arshdeep and Pandya as well for bottling up SA.

Beggars can’t be choosers. We had such Brahmans like Pant and Sky who failed in the finals and the guys who stuck till the end are abused here. Somebody in the top had to stick around to get a fighting score and he did. So suck it up and enjoy the win. Without 177 on board, BUmrah had zilch to bowl at

Fully agree. We dug the hole for us. Since we'll be rebuilding the team, we need to take a look at the players for T20. IMO Pant is a misfit. He simply doesn't have the game for T20s at the moment. Let him focus on Tests. Somebody like Jurel is a better T20 wkt keeper -bat than him. Also, no Dube, and SKY should bat no higher than 5. He looks like a fish out of water if we lose couple of early wkts and has to come in early.

This is not ill informed or misinformed post, it can't be. Trying to deny straight facts is called lying. He has been one of the best performers in 50 over knockout matches including WC, Championships Trophy, and CB series. Even in World Cups alone, his numbers are not as bad as portrayed, improved massively after last WC.
