Boxing and wrestling got us some medals in last two Olympics. Any chance from those two sports this time around.

Most goras will rate a Freida Pinto or Sendhil Ramamurthy as best looking folks....Indians and Pakistanis go crazy over melanin content forgetting facial features, symmetry etc. They see a fair person with potato nose, they'll rate that as more desirable than the most perfect face but dark in complexion.

Not as optimistic as last time. Federations' misgovernance, politics messed up both these sports.

Wrestling we have 5 girls competing and 1 boy. 1 or 2 can medal.

Boxing now only Lovlina and Nishant in fray, both need to win just 1 match to medal.

Lovline chances are very low, Nishant has a fair chance with slight advantage.

There was a sizeable Indian fan support today. We haven't thought about the fan expectations playing a part in pressure situations. I haven't watched the other two medal winning events that Manu participatd in. So my opinion is based on today's events.

Shooting finals have seen good Indian crowds this time.

Disagreed. Crowd shouting and cheering every point was one of many reasons that Lakshya won yesterday.I saw the while match live. His opponent visibly looked nervous and shaken. The Korean and Hungarian were clutch today in Manu's match

That's true but it is changing now. Bipasha priyanka and many other darker women are accepted as good looking.

So sad, these two sports which need higher funds and also much fairer governance. They  have lot of potential in India.

 

BJP backing criminals like Brij Bhushan  has hurt wrestling .

 

Women's boxing should have done lot better too.
