We shouldn't look to host Olympics. It's a white elephant and it's a lose-lose scenario. You anyways end up wasting so much money and resources on hosting the games. And then there'll be incidents which will be blown out of proportion. Check the coverage around food, beds, AC buses in Paris. In India they'll focus on poverty porn and make fun of it. And god forbid if there's any negative incident, that's how the Olympics will be remembered.

 

Better to focus on other things and investing that much money in sporting programs than hosting. Wish our politicians and sports bodies were less corrupt as that would help a great deal.
