Truly feel unless we start sending 25-30 potential medal winners, we will not touch double digit.

China had so many top seeded badminton teams and players across categories they also didn't medal much.

Indian media needs to stop hyping these matches like QF one match away from medal round.

 

They win one or two matches they are in Qfs. Stop acting as if these guys are reaching QFs after winning so many matches.

Badminton is a popular sport. In nunber of players playing, is it among the highest. 22 is a good rank.

IMO that is wrong way to look at things.

 

They win one or two matches they are in knockouts so getting 4th place is not a a big deal.

I think the American Amit Elor will beat top seed. Pinned her in 40 seconds 2 months back, and is a beast.

Harsh as it is IOC should stop sending sailing, golfers, rowers etc and focus the investment in 2 or 3 sports. Better to send 20 athletes and win 5 medals than 150 and win 1 medal

Aditi Ashok has the potential to win a medal in golf, she missed out narrowly on bronze in Tokyo.
