One person is overjoyed and celebrating and other is heartbroken all because of 100th of a second, you can't even think of blinking an eye in that much time.

I think both PT Usha and Milkha Singh list their 3rd place in 1/100th of a second too

In 2012 Yogeshwar Dutt, 2016 Sakshi won their medals through repechage. Bajrang too won repechage in 2020 but he was anyway a semifinalist.

Yogeshwar won 3 back to back fights to win a bronze. Amazing fight the bronze one specially the last few seconds.

You train for 4 years and everything is decided in under 10 seconds, or 3 throws, few minutes bout. Pressure must be unimaginable. On top of that if you have a false start or overstep, it is an 8 years long process before you prove yourself.

A team like Spain was never beating Belgium and Dutch back to back. Just the emotional/mental baggage of facing 2 such opponents back to back in KOs is crushing.

i'm wondering why do the umps always white. why can't they have umpires from india and other ethnicities. its not like we don't have enough people looking for those jobs. this should be made known to all Indians. but it will be louder if we actually win gold and dominate world hockey in the future.
