deathmonger Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Quote Kane Williamson's departure to India has been delayed, and he is expected to miss the opening Test in Bengaluru due to a groin strain sustained during the recent series against Sri Lanka. New Zealand Cricket confirmed the news in a media release on Wednesday, October 9, noting that Williamson will need to undergo rehabilitation before joining the team in India. New Zealand selector Sam Wells expressed optimism about Williamson’s chances of returning later in the series, once his recovery is complete. Wells said that the advice they got was to let the star batter rest and rehabilitate rather than taking a risk of aggravating the injury. Chaalu guy Gollum 1
cowboysfan Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 probably the first test but groin injuries always heal slowly.

I remember he also pulled out of the Mumbai test in 2021 on the eve of the match. Likewise pulled out of 2016 Eden test last minute, that was a greentop and low scoring match. Always finds the most convenient time to get 'injured', and then his supporters cry about him not getting enough tests. I will pick a lionheart like Pujara over this fraud 100 out of 100 times. nevada, Stan AF, putrevus and 2 others 2 2 1
Gollum Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Sad part is this fraud will end up with better looking numbers than Sachin, Lara, Ponting, Smith, ABDV, Root.....all of who never shied away from challenge even if it damaged their numbers. Kane mama will also retire at the correct time, mark my words, the minute he thinks he won't be able to sustain his artificial average he will call it quits leaving his supporters to shed tears about his unselfishness, and creating 'what if' scenarios to elevate his status. You have a list of minnows lined up to feed him next year...won't miss a single match. 10 years later when people pull up his numbers and see 125 tests, 11k runs, 40 100s, average of 58-59, they will wonder why nallas like Root, Smith and Kohli were clubbed with this modern day Bradman. nitinbwj, Sgattick10, nevada and 5 others 2 1 5
jf1gp_1 Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 This will be balanced by mentally checked out Kohli being in XI Stan AF 1

Agree with everything but why'd he be scared of greentops? He plays them every game at home anyway.
Nikhil_cric Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 Won't make a difference even if he was here. They are coming here with only 2 bowlers - O Rourke and Ajaz Make similar decks as England tour and crush them . Kane or no Kane makes no difference.

MK55 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 This NZ team ain’t winning anything with or without Kane. 3-0 with some innings defeat is what’s likely to happen.
