Though he was more well rounded as a pacer Nitish otoh is a proper batter. He is very young. Only thing missing from his bowling is hit the deck skills. He is swing/seam bowler right now. Though must say Hardik in 2018 series against SAF was absolutely gun in second test. Also against England in first test he was great and in Nottingham as well where we won. All those were good bowling pitches..

From day 1, Hardik could hit a cover drive boundary to a good length ball against international pace bowling off a length on the rise. To say that he had 'zero game' against pace is silly. Also, even though he debuted as a bowler who bats a bit, he was not at all 'well rounded' as a pacer. For the first 12-18 months, he was way over-reliant on the short ball. Over time, he developed better control over the slower ball, even the knuckleball at times, and got better at moving the ball. AuxiliA 1
Lord Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 Batting is good but bowling looks very mediocre.

Also whend pandya came initially he was not able to put 6 balls within the wkt. I remember he bowled 11 run first t20 over in that 3-4 wide ball, and he was also a spin slayer his batting against pace was zero. Later on he improved in both areas. sandeep, Frustrated and Need4Speed 1 2

He should improve his pace in 2-3 years as he is still very young but mental part is something he needs be readied now itself. Need4Speed, tweaker and nitinbwj 1 2

Bowled absolute gutter to Litton Das. 4 consecutive balls outside the off side and I mean way outside. Right smashed.

But on these sort of pitches at his pace , probably thought of trying to hide the ball and make batters reach for it. Poor execution I think. Plan was OK. Lone Wolf 1

Stoinis level bowling is good enough Lone Wolf 1

Stoinis level bowling is good enough I mean, he's a prospect for sure. Its not like we have so many 'pace' bowling allround players coming through. But I'm just dismissing inaccurate comparisons to 'early' Pandya. Nitish looks promising, but at this point, he's a younger, more power-hitting trained version of VIjay Shankar. Paandu is a proper white-ball slugger who right from his first few games displayed the power game, along with decent enough batting technique against int'l bowling, coupled with consistent pace bowling in the high 130s, occasional 140s. Combining efficacy or even potential on both sides of the ball is a rare thing, especially for pace allrounders. India has a few competitors to him, but all on the spin side of things - I'm a huge believer in Washington Sundar, but even he's more of a batting allrounder. I just like the kid's character a lot, and feel like provided fitness and a proper 'extended run' he can improve his offspin and be a regular India starter along with Axar Patel.

There is no comparison with Pandya. Pandya could have made the side on his bowling alone at one point. NKR's bowling will never be that good

Pandu opened the bowling with the new ball, took 3 wickets in his first ODI IIRC. You are just spouting utter bakwaas. Yes, he was a lot more limited in his bowling variations and repertoire early on, but still showcased ability to bowl 138+, offer the straight seam with the new ball, and hold a consistent line and length. And from his early games, it was abundantly clear that he could drive the ball for 4 along the carpet on the offside, i.e. without slogging it, against international pace bowlers. Utter and complete bakwaaas. Edited October 14, 2024 by sandeep

You just jumped in to provide your garbage analysis like always when thread is about NKR in a t20 series and as an AR compared his capabilities with Pandya that how he was during his debut series. As said just sushhh and come back to defend bandya when he would get really bashed by me. I was actually appreciative of him lately. sandeep 1
