I haven't seen him much... Super convinced with his spin bowling batting..

Can he play pace bowling well and how does he play short bowl??

He will be regular for t20s but does he has capability to play test matches and one dayers??

He is been backed by team management, coaches. He has made debut before Harshit and it looks the coach has full confidence in him .

For once they're backing the right player. They should also back Venky Reddy ahead of fake all-rounder Dube.

He is very young..so dont worry about his stats as of now..I believe he has good technique against pace too..Let him gain more experience

Agree ... But he still has to get some runs under his belt (I am talking about test matches)

He bats too low from what I remember in the Ranji games followed last year. Technically he is pretty solid, just finds a way to get out. Just something that'll hopefully be fixed as he plays more

Hardik when he came had zero game against pace no strike rotation skill but was a proper tulla vs spin.

Though he was more well rounded as a pacer

Nitish otoh is a proper batter.  He is very young.

Only thing missing from his bowling is hit the deck skills.  He is swing/seam bowler right now.

Just checked his FC stats and he is best in T20s ... He should be no where near test side...

He should do his grind on FC and learn the art of test batting

That's what I've been saying. His bowling is not good enough to play at 8 nor is his batting good enough to play at 7.

He is not a Test class cricketer, yet.

No way he should even be considered for BGT this year.

His innings based off highlights look super shaky. One glove that was put down and one umpire's call early on.

Its T20..

I saw complete innings..

glove was on leg side..happens with any batter

ump call was on reverse sweep..

Apart from that fabulous performance..

He is 21 year old lad..who stabilized innings..Accelerated amazingly..

bowled opening overs..last overs..

he is not a finished product yet but should he be appreciated for what he did today..

He is better than Shardul..actually he is 2nd best option after Pandya in pace AR we have..Pandu is very experienced and he is not..you will have to groom him..

other option is to groom Harshit if he bats well..but he is untested..so we will have to see when he gets chance

He can travel to BGT as reserves. He may not succeed but will learn from that experience.

He is an asset, has the potential to become our Shane Watson.

His batting is decent enough, bowling is WIP but we know his stronger suit is batting only.

We shouldn't have high expectations from day 1 on a pace bowling allrounder like we do with batsmen..

Promising batsmen from last 3 years - Gil, Jaiswal, Sarfraz, Rinku, Abhishek etc

Genuine allrounders in last 50 years - Kapil Dev.. light years... Hardik Pandya and now Nitish

there is a reason he is been backed so early.fast bowling all rounders are injury prone and have short peaks and fade out, there are very few Kapil Devs and Kallis's in the world.

Going by our track record, I would still be happy if he has a short peak

HE should be fast tracked but in ODI's and T20's

For Test matches... team management should take some time....
