Luck?  We lost three Tests in a row, at home.

Three.  Not one, not two.

Tests. Not ODIs not T20s.

At home.  Where pitch prep was our call.

Even if it doesn’t happen again for two decades from here on, Luck has had nothing to do with it.

Spot on.

Deciding to bat first B'lore was not luck.

Picking spinners on a seamers paradise, and misreading the pitch was not luck.

Continuing to bat Sundar way down the order despite him being the 2nd best batter after Pant is not luck. Sundar ran out of partners nearly every innings and yet he came in way down every innings.

Sending Siraj as a night-watchman is not luck. He's a walking wkt and we had likes of Ashwin, Sundar or even Akash Deep who're better suited to the role.

Persisting with Siraj and not playing either Harshit and preferably Axar was not luck.

Not playing Jurel when he was the standout performer against Eng was not luck.

Kohli running Pant out the previous Test, and running himself out in the decider is not bad luck. It showed Kohli is a passenger who can't buy a run and would rather risk his teammate's wkt to score a measly single.

This showed how poor team management and their thinking was. And shows they and the selectors don't have the balls to take hard decisions. Everyone knew Kohli couldn't buy a run yet he wasn't dropped and replaced by Jurel. Everyone can see Siraj is useless on these pitches yet he was preferred when someone like Axar would've been a huge upgrade with bat, ball and on the field.

We were poor. Period. The team management and selectors are gutless and don't care at all. If they did, they would've made changes to BGT squad. Kohli doesn't deserve a spot even in a Ranji team and we're sending that useless piece of shyte to Aus to lay more eggs to add to the egg collection over the last 5 years.

Great analysis

Loosing Santner after a 13 wicket performance to injury on a prepared rank turner is bad luck - but the Kiwis overcame even that.

Not even the great West Indies team whitewashed us. We could draw 3 tests against them. This Nofit sharma managed to allow a mid tier team like NZ to beat us comprehensively when we are on the high.

Not a single match went into the 4th day did it?

This is actually massive. Coming to Ind and putting a stick up the arse ... that's no joke.

Honestly once a Hitman and once a King, now more like hitme and dethroned at this point. FFS retire with some dignity - can't listen to  ZimBabar > Kohli rant again.

NZ, please launch a 24x7 cricket channel and play the series on loop for next 20yrs. Ofcourse free to air in India. Maybe then our sports networks and retired players will realise they need to stop talking about 2001 test series or natwest trophy final or that upper cut from Sachin played 21yrs ago.
