vvvslaxman Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 If they bring in tier 2 system we have to start poaching players from West Indies

maniac Posted July 25, 2025 Posted July 25, 2025 Just noticed this was against Kerala a team whose biggest name is a T20 specialist and don’t even know the remaining players.

He is in his prime. He has passed through various filters. Administrators and coaches at his state, Haryana, always felt he was destined to play Test cricket. Not ODIs, not T20Is. Specifically Test cricket. Then he has had glowing endorsements from people who should know something about cricket: MS Dhoni and R Ashwin at Chennai Super Kings. Then the India selectors, and eventually the team management. .............. Bowling coach Morne Morkel was at a loss to explain why he was so slow. At the IPL, Kamboj bowled about 55% of his deliveries at over 135kmph. Here his fastest was 134.58. Morkel himself saw a much quicker Kamboj during the India A games before the start of the Test series, and possibly at the nets two days before the match. Can someone explain how someone can reserve his worst for his debut match? Is it possible?
vvvslaxman Posted July 25, 2025 Posted July 25, 2025 India could have played KUldeep in place of Amboj.

Frustrated Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 Worst debut ever by a pacer in Indian test history for sure.

devisreeprasadmahesh Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 This kamboj fellow will not fit into even an Australian state side. He is the best domestic red ball bowler in India. That shows the state of affairs in India domestic cricket express bowling 1

Frustrated Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 58 minutes ago, Laaloo said: Unadkat in 2010? Vrv singh in 2011? Yeah.. Those bowlers were equally worse. But the point is: Those were no name bowlers, with hardly any hype. Whereas Kamboj came in with plenty of fake hype. I hv been hearing from lots of my friends & relatives about kamboj for months.....only to find him "too kamjor for intl level". This pitch (for the 4th test) has help for pacers. It's not like the flat patta of first 2 tests.
Bigg Brother Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 This is by far the worst debut I have ever seen. May be Surya's test debut comes 2nd. It was really ,"Bowling woh kar raha tha, Sharam mujhe aa rahi thi" type display. He bowled 120 kmph ball on pads when Root was on 99. Literally no energy, no zeal, no skills whatsoever. England's AR Luke Wright in 2010s used to ball faster than this. And it is not just about pace, look at his body language, the way he was running while fielding. Absolutely shambolic. It was like he was forced to play for India.
