Various considerations - like gloating rights about woman CM, awarding caste (bania) , also they will not dissent against policies in a state that houses the national capital - better be managed by centre than a anarhist CM. Verma ia a jaat , will be good for Bihar elections.

when will we rise from gender and caste politics.. it should be on merit and whoever has done the most work on Delhi ar grassroot level ( i dont mind it being run by centre) but atleast the post should be given on merit whoever is willing to work with the centre as opposed to choosing based on caste and gender

Hope you are sarcastic, there should be class in leaders which is missing here.

BTW, Gambhir must be regretting giving up politics to coach India to losses. Might have been a popular choice for CM :giggle:

Rich people do not have the nerve to fight dirty.  Gambhir is already famous.

Also, he runs his mouth.  That is a big weakness in politics.

To fight a suvvar, you need to get into the sewer. Kejruddin doesn’t deserve any class. It was related to his demand to see video evidence of surgical strike . This classless creep accused Haryana government of deliberately releasing poison into Yamuna towards Delhi

You can’t remove caste out of Indian politics. Even BJP that runs on a development plank, wins elections on caste math. They lost in UP 2024 for ignoring caste. As the famous adage goes. In India, people don’t cast their vote in elections, they vote their caste. It is the ground reality.

Too bad, BJP suddenly realize that they are in power  in 21  states with no woman heading as CM.

Make no mistake our President is also from similar arrangement

Rekha Gupta was a DU president. That makes her more politically qualified than our current Leader of Opposition and 'PM in waiting', who can't win a housing society election on his own.

A clean water and nice river frontage to Yamuna like Sabarmati in Ahmedbad or Gomati in Lucknow will add to overall living standard of Delhites and business.

Think of situation where several thousand of people just doing causal walk in morning and evening on its banks. This will add few years to their life and overall health of Delhites

That is an issue for 5 weeks of the whole year. What incentives are they going to provide to farmers to stop burning stubble in favor of alternative methods?

Think, Solution is to Government comes up with some Tech whereby the Stubble can be reused in some factory to manufacture something. That is only solution

Many farmers including a friend of mine in Sirsa are already doing this on their own. He explained that it is relatively easy for him because the straw/stubble customer lives close to his farm. and can be there in a short period of time to get it out and take it with them. Not everyone has that luxury, he said. Govt has to provide some incentives for this to become mainstream.
