He is not wrong though .ideally one of Rohit or virat or Kohli should be dropped..but if they are untouchable..then reddy needs to be dropped for bowling sake. We cant play with three bowlers ....and overbowl bumrah

This call looks terrible because Reddy outbatted our seniors comfortably in almost all the innings. Even during century of Kohli, REddy batted better. If you had given him enough time he would have got a 100 as well.

So the asshat Manjrekar wants to drop one of the finds of the tour in favor of liabilities like Kohli and Rohit 

 

If he had any balls he would call out the two seniors for dragging the team down. But nope, let's kick out a performing youngster so the two maharathis can play and stink it up

India needs a good 4th fast bowler who can be effective like Thakur was.   Reddy hasn't reached that level yet.  Given the risk of overbowling Bumrah his role becomes even bigger as a 4th seamer. Either Rohit doesn't use him well or he is not capable bowling long spells. Either way extra overs cannot be shared only between Akash and expensive Siraj unless they go with extra spinner. Like Sundar for Reddy.  Gill, Kohli, Rohit  have been non factors.  One of them should make way for Reddy in an ideal world.

In an ideal world Bumrah would be the captain and Kohli & Rohit wouldn't be in the squad. All problems solved and we probably lead the series.

Thakur was good coz he was bowled lot more and first 3 seamers were good. Here except Bumrah all suck. Reddy is batting better than RoKo and bowled better than Siraj in last Test.

Why not have the balls and call for dropping of Rohit and Kohli? He has done so previously with smaller fishes

Reddy is bits and pieces player who on his best dfay will get one wicket with ball and score 40 runs.If they are playing with two spinner then he has to make way.

it is not what we want. But that is what will happen. We have seen this happen to bigger bowlers. Guy who carried the side to WTC final sat out.

Replace Ashwin with Tanush Kotian and my point still stands. In fact, batting gets strengthened more cos Tanush is a better bat than Ash in current form. Clutch too.

 

I wouldn't mind trying another batsman in place of Gill.

if your batsmen don’t score runs you select batsmen who score but not justify bits  and pieces players.

 

If two spinners play and you want to play this guy then you need to drop a bowler or batsman.  

 

No team in world will do it.
