OP, please add an option "All of the Above"

And also add the one where Rohit got out to Cummins trying to pull the delivery. I believe it was at MCG (or could be Gabba).

Also, Kohli running out Pant against NZ, and Jaiswal against Aus are also up there in terms of "shambolic".

Rohit also did an action replay of it in Ranji match in case someone had missed it :cantstop:

Pant at Melbourne ... stupid, stupid, stupid :phehe:

I still maintain if he had been allowed to play his natural game he would have been able to put pressure back on bowlers which would have helped entire team

Instead management wanted him to be a pujara (and so did some dumb fans)

Some beasts should be unleashed on opponents, not reined in. Pant, Sehwag, 90s Sachin being prime examples. Such players must be given license to play high risk game, let others in the lineup adjust accordingly.

That's how Aussies have created a monster in Head. Never once tried to change his game despite his failings before circa '21.

Over the last few years all our wins and draws where when we batted agressively and tried to win. Whenever we played for draws, we have lost.

And this pattern I have seen in my many decades of seeing cricket. Whenever we completely shut shop and play for draws we always crumbled and lost, even during Sachin dravid times.

Absolutely. Even in our greatest draw (SCG '21) Pant played for a win, his counterattack messed up Lyon's rhythm and mentality (resorted to defensive lines) for rest of the innings (and series).

In that particular innings though he got out playing his natural game.

He played over a session(104 balls) like pujara as he was forced to. And that didn't help the team at all as bowlers came completely on top and put pressure on everyone and all batsmen collapsed after he got out.

If he was allowed to dominate in those balls, the pressure would have been back on australian bowlers and helped the rest of the batsmen.

We have NEVER survived by playing complete tuk tuk in our history.

Actually we have, Sydney 2021.

But you're right that Pant is a player who should be used to maximise the output by scoring runs. For no reason he was pushed to perform a role which isn't natural to him.

In Tests, we need the anchors at top of the order, who can lose the shine of the new ball by which batters at 4,5 can maximize the output. 6,7 should be capable of batting with tailenders.

In BGT our no 2,3,4 were shaky as hell.

In sydney 2021 remember pant went after the bowling and scored 97 at the strike rate of 85. He played 112 balls, similar to the 104 balls he played jere. But difference was him hitting bowlers and scoring runs. As long as he was there commentators were talking of a win.

And pujara got out 5 overs after pant so it's not like he carried on either.

When pant got out bowlers were tired and  demoralized and Aussies were glad to settle for a draw as they were scared of losing. In this recent 4th test Aussies never had fear of losing so could always put pressure on Indian batsmen.

In 4th match in recent series we lost, we were all out for 155 in 79 overs. In sydney 2021 we were 250 for 4 in 79 overs when pant got out. Those 100 runs extra changed the match, we were the ones on the up while Aussies were the ones wanting a draw.

In one of the NZ tests, Siraj being sent as nighwatchman, getting out plumb LBW first ball and then wasting the review irritated the hell out of me. We had 7 wickets left and this retard burned a review just like that. Entire series was a nightmare, nothing like I have ever experienced.
