Babar Azam made T20i debut in Sep 2016. After having been given opportunity to represent in 128 T20i's across a tenure of 8.5 years, all he could manage was strike rate of 127. A prudent management would not waste 8.5 years to develop a batsman for T20i.

 

As Babar Azam has massively failed in grabbing this vast opportunity, it would be wise of PCB to avoid similar mistakes. For once they have to gibe opportunity to players who have right intent for T20i format and also  they should not waste 8.5 years on 1 player. About 25 - 30 matches opportunity should be fair rather than 128 matches.

Encashing conditions also requires skill ,Hasan was doing that

He is uncooked at top level.  I would say it is 50-50 between him and Saim in T20.  Saim also lacks power game but this Hasan guy has a higher backlift so he has more chances to score at high Strike Rate than Saim.

Saim in 140-150 S/R max player... This guy can touch 180+ on a big day

He slogs and misses wildly alot. 

 

But yeah, he made bowlers pay today once he was set.

 

You are missing one thing - Saim is very good on hook and pull. This bloke has glaring weakness versus short ball

Its surprising how much T20 cricket is about intent and mindset. Maybe we will have alot more role of sports psychologistis in T20 arena down the line. 

 

Couple of overs - you put a foot down on bowlers, and they can melt down because of how fast paced the game is and you fear not having enough time to bounce back into it. 

 

Similarly, a couple of tight overs and batting side can find themslves all at sea under pressure.

I have seen Saim hole himself out in the deep hooking as well.

As I said Saim is better ODI bat than he is a T20 bat right now.

Stats also seem to suggest this.

 

Potential wise Saim is leagues ahead of this Tulla.

Very good win for Pakistan.I don't any reason for this guy cannot succeed. Guy like Abhishek has done well. His bat swing enables him to hit the ball in air , he will be inconsistent.

If we talk of stats - Hassan's stats are paltry.

 

Left handers are always a ++ at the top btw.

I think Pakistan has no choice but to play this way. Otherwise they will get steamrolled in every match on flat wickets.
