Looks like most former cricketers are joining the right party.

Exceptions are crackpots like Bhajji, who joined AAP , and that opportunistic creature called Sidhu who experimented with many parties and is finally back to boring us with his recycled aphorisms and idioms.

BJP has the least nepotist culture. They have more chance of rising up the ranks.

Anything would be an upgrade than a party who has been held ransom because they cannot let go of a guy who is only their because of his dynasty, on the bright he will not continue his dynasty. The worst part, his sister already considers herself a rightful heir to the throne, she will continue the dynasty. Thankfully India is not a monarchy.

Anyone who can take this party seriously is delusional at the least, no one has done more disservice than one family because of which this nation no credible opposition left.

No one is born with the right to rule the country.

Gambhir quit politics when he was denied a Delhi MP ticket and also because he became tjhe coach of India. They have to be neutral and not have a conflict of interests.

Sidhu was always a weirdo. I recall him as a player from the 90s, always looked out of place- smiling when everyone isn't, looking grumpy when everyone is having fun.

Iirc he also randomly killed a dude but got away with it coz " kirkut star"  and in 90s there was no real media.

Roadmap for Indian cricketers

Get Dropped from team -> Retire -> Join BJP -> Become Indian coach

"Accurate"  roadmap .  Looks like Ravi Shastri and Rahul Dravid followed it well.
