Also, acquisition has been in the back seat for us to get tech transfer and not just buy foreign maal. I think the DRDO has really shone this time. The locally produced drones and Akash missiles have been a gamechanger.

This whole conflict has proved the capability of domestic weapons, and cleared all the doubts of all those naysayers on domestic weapons.

 

Aakash Air defense will go down in the history books with it's own separate chapter, proud of DRDO :hatsoff:

Local drones, local multi-layered ADS.  I'm sure the Israelis collaborated with us. And it also helps that Pakistani barely have any money to buy the 'good stuff'.  Still, the level of efficacy for the ADS is super impressive. 

 

Just jaw-droppingly good.  I say it again, not used to this level of competence and effectiveness from Indian govt.  or even Military.  It is really something impressive.

Their drone and small arm attacks failed, they escalated to missiles, intercepted, and they got multiple air-bases bombed in return.

 

And now their Banyan-e-chaddi 'big' retaliation also fails to do much damage. 

 

I mean how much more of a one-sided victory do we want?

That 570 cr Rafale deal was for only fly away standard aircraft.  NDA got fully loaded. Aircraft without meteor and scalp missiles us just an expensive toy.

We would need more, quickly. 

Not for Pakistan..but for a possible skirmish with China...which may happen by 2035-2040.

Yep DRDO has stolen the show so far.

 

Israeli Barak 8 MRSAM are in limited numbers. S400 as well.

Akash is doing all the heavy lifting.

This came out of syllabus for PAF.

HAL is the problem.

They are lethargic and slow in their work...most babus will just roam around carrying their fat bellies.

 

They need to work atleast 7-8 hours per day...I dont think they do even for 2-4 hours. 

 

Privatisation of the arms sector is needed. We need more players in the market.
