As long as iran is able to cover our energy needs and help keeping pak busy on western front, we should treat them as allies. This random guy shouldn't be chimping out for social media reach and ruin potential alliances

True, I have family who are about to visit turkey, again, to enjoy shawarmas ….. people will forget all this in about a week as it’s always about me first and patriotism is just for social media and forums.

We import 1% of our oil from Iran presently. Also both Iran and Pakistan have common cause because of Balochistan insurgency on both sides of the border. Iran is no longer an Indian ally, even the Chabahar port deal is in the dustbin now. 

 

Besides, Major Arya isn't associated with the government/military in any form. I am sure we can find a random TV channel or youtube video from Iran where some Iranian badmouths us. Does this kind of thing warrant such an overreaction that even embassies have to get involved?

Erdogan made anti-India comments in 2019 IIRC (post 370 abrogation) and next week megastar Aamir Khan paid him a visit at his house, photo ops, glowing praises, PR etc. When some of us pointed it out, we were labelled Sanghis, fascists, trolls etc. 

 

Btw Aamir was silent even when Galwan happened, not one word against China because of their market.

 

First, Bollywood must be reformed. They shoot in these locations, hobnob with their heads of states and influential people, glamorize them and present countries like Turkey, Azerbaijan, Maldives as must visit tourist places.

We can't do much about Turkey. It's a NATO ally and a major geopolitical player in middle East.   Greece and Cyprus are already pretty cozy with us ..

Tourism is non factor for Turkey.  We shouldn't go there but their Indian market is minimal anyways

Iran actually was one of the first countries to recognise JnK as Indian territory in their statement.  Ayatollahs are radical but even they know Pak will let US use its bases against Iran.

 

Major Sahab need to control his language and keep aside his Israeli bias wrt to Iran.
