I think we weren't considering the deal made last year.  I don't know if anything has change with that regard.

Thing is S400 induction took ages and is still not complete due to Ukraine war.  We have only 3 units and 2 are yet to be delivered.

I will be highly surprised if we go Import route that soon..  especially with Indigenous SAM are proving themselves in war times.

Our QRSAM would likely be inducted officially next year.. or may get fast tracked this year itself.

S400 and S500 has longer range...Akash as far as what I know has lower range (25-50 km).

Its always good to have multiple layers of security. Specially for cases when we have to fight with an enemy like China.

Kusha SAM would cover around 400-500kms as per reports.  DRDO is almost there.  We might enter testing phase next year.

The “can’t be intercepted (detected) by any radar” part is inaccurate.

Brahmos is supersonic with speed in the range of Mach 2 to 3. Hypersonic missiles travel at a speed of Mach 5 and greater.

Brahmos can be detected by radars but will be relatively difficult to intercept by anti-missile systems.

Countries like China are currently developing radar systems that will be able to track hypersonic missiles as well.

India is also working on hypersonic cruise missile, BrahMos-2.

Decisively better than the HQ-9 and HQ-16 medium range SAM that PAK employs .

It's the reason why we were able to take out a hangar in Bholari and runways in Sargodha etc. while they weren't able to inflict much damage apart from maybe a non essential building in Udhampur based on satellite imagery. And that's despite targeting 26 locations.

Nah man, Turkish tech is world class, they are as good as Israel.

But bring it on, DRDO will be prepared too.

while they are good their effectiveness is significantly reduced in contested air space. If you had followed UK-Ru conflict during the initial days Uk got some significant kills using bayraktar drones, there were even songs written on the drone. Russia hadn't moved its AD & EW systems thinking this will be swift, once Ru realized this isn't as simple & moved some AD systems you no longer heard about them.

Extremely Late delivery of S400's remaining 2 units.

4th unit by late 2025 and 5th one next year in 2026.

That's more than 2 year delay if we are talking from original agreement.

Indian indigenous Kusha would likely have 4 operational units by 2027.

That's the main  reason I think we are not looking to buy S500.

There is slight correction here .. India has as of now got 6 launcher per battery .. so 12 launcher per regiment.

I think that was earlier report.

6000 Missiles.

But it was never exactly revealed by IAF.

I hope it's 8×2 version

This video didn’t speak of ADS - Akash S-40, but a nice showcase for western audiences , no validation of course. The point being India force is war tested unlike EU or Japan or even China.
