diga Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 Current custodian of Islamic nuclear bomb is unreliable and Iran is paying the price
Lone Wolf Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 Tel Aviv has taken some serious hits as well. Joos would have been in dire straits like Iran if not for Uncle Sam's Costly AD systems.
Vickydev Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 These hypersonics have caused some serious damage in Tel Aviv again.

Iran's ballistic missile capability was always thought to be pretty good one. I am shocked that they don't have a decent sized modern airforce at their disposal. They should have bought some Russian and Chinese fighters armed with BVR Missiles and Air to surface ones. Maybe they will if the regime survives. Edited June 15, 2025 by Lone Wolf

I dont think they even own nukes, US loaned them a few to keep India on toes. Plus Pakistan & Iran hate each other, the Shia Sunni divide is much deeper. Given Pak's history of crucifying non Sunni Muslims & other religions..Iran isnt very happy at all. raki05 1

Tillu Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 Elon Musk turns on Starlink in Iran as Tehran shuts down internet | The Jerusalem Post Summary of the Article (Jerusalem Post, June 14, 2025): Headline: Starlink operating in Iran, Elon Musk says, as Islamic regime shuts internet down Context: Following Israeli airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities on June 14, 2025, Iran experienced widespread internet disruptions. In response, Elon Musk confirmed that his satellite internet service, Starlink, has been activated in Iran. Background: Iran's Communications Ministry admitted to imposing temporary restrictions on internet access due to the “special conditions” in the country. These measures came after Israeli attacks triggered heightened internal unrest and a need to control information flow. Starlink's Role: Starlink, operated by SpaceX, provides low-latency, satellite-based internet—particularly useful where traditional infrastructure is compromised or suppressed. By enabling internet access in Iran, Musk effectively bypassed Iran’s censorship efforts. Political Implications: Israeli PM Netanyahu addressed Iranians directly, urging them to oppose their regime, stressing that Israel’s conflict is with Iran's rulers, not its people. Reza Pahlavi, exiled Iranian crown prince, called on Iran’s security forces to abandon the regime and join the people in reclaiming the nation. Impact of This Move on Starlink in India: Diplomatic Sensitivity: India has strong ties with both Iran (for energy and trade) and Israel (for defense and technology). Musk’s decision may prompt Indian policymakers to scrutinize Starlink’s potential influence in politically sensitive regions, including Kashmir and Northeast India. Regulatory Pressure: India’s Department of Telecommunications has already been cautious about approving Starlink’s commercial rollout. This bold geopolitical intervention could make Indian regulators more reluctant, fearing Starlink could bypass national internet controls during unrest. Strategically, the Indian military and intelligence may re-evaluate Starlink as a potential tool for secure, rapid-deploy connectivity in conflict zones. Potential for Policy Review: India may introduce stricter licensing rules for foreign satellite internet services. Emphasis could shift toward developing indigenous alternatives (e.g., ISRO-backed satellite constellations like OneWeb, partially Indian-owned). Allowing starlink in india don't make sense at all. Even 5G speed is more than 500 Mbps on the other hand starlink can hardly reach 200 Mbps.

There will be a major showdown somewhere down the line. At which point, India wants to be least damaged by becoming Switzerland, but that's not easy. But thats what India is gunning for. When this collision happens third in line benefits. But India won't have it easy. India is Djokovic waiting for Federer and Nadal to get done with dash other.

This likely resembles the period between WW1 and WW2.. unusual short term alliances may be formed. I think India and China will co-operate until Republicans are in power and somehow ride out Trump reign.

That may probably not even happen at this rate the way US is going. India is facing the threat it was supposed to face 10 years down the line. Let's see how this goes but I don't think a major war can happen with China in near future. Border war is useless for both sides. Geography prevents sizeable offensive for both sides. Indian Ocean is ultimate battle ground but even that won't matter until US gets decisive check mate in Asia Pacific.
