We may loose the last 2 tests. Our team has now exhausted. .Rahul,Gill,Pant have done their bit, cant expect them to perform in next 2 tests.

Bumrah   may rest .

Ideally the team management should shuffle the team so it remains fit and motivated.

Eashwaran, Sai,Kuldeep, Prasidh should be selected and Siraj, Jadeja,Jaiswal should be rested.

Nair should be dropped.

Usually it rains in Manchester? How's the weather?

A voodoo ground for us in England.  Never won a test there and that WC Semifinal

Not expecting much from the team tbh.. they would be cooked and demoralised after Lords

Rain at some stage is virtually guaranteed in Manchester. I was actually there yesterday and it was chucking down - had there been a match day it would have been a complete day's play washed out.

That means overcast conditions and need for extra seamer maybe.

This will give us better chance of competing too.

Traditionally Old Trafford is one of the English grounds where spinners get turn plus bounce is usually good there. That said, Washington bowled well in the last game and Jadeja is playing purely as a batter and neither can make way for the one genuine spinner India have available in Kuldeep.

Reddy actually bowled well at Lord's as well. He was quite disciplined and consistently swinging the ball.

The bowling attack took 20 wickets in both previous matches so generally it is working ok. Reddy is a better bat than Kuldeep and that is where the problems are at the moment.

Sundar Cannot be left out either. Besides India dominated this test until we caught cold feet im 4th day 3rd session and 5th day morning session. 30 minutes of bad cricket undid everything

Yes. Gill said in press conference that he has a team of 12 and he'll pick the 11 on the day of the match.

Not sure if the 12th player is Nair's replacement or Bumrah 's replacement.

Other than these, expect no other changes. Reddy will play.

expect only 2 changes.

Sai for Nair

Prasidh for Bumrah

So in a must win game Bumrah will be rested and then come back for the dead rubber?

Bumrah can rest all he wants in post series but should be playing in his peak. Will probably be washed up for the next Eng tour.

Gambhir & Gill truly are morons.

with a 9 day gap why would you rest Bumrah for Manchester. hes not needed at Oval where we should be brining in Kuldeep

Should be a blessing in disguise for us. As per last 5 yr stats, Our Loss percentage is way more with Bumrah playing compared to the matches without Bumrah.  Someone has posted the exact stat on some other thread (just after we lost 3rd test).   I am not a Bumrah hater nor do I hv any agenda against him.  But 5 yr stat is a decent sample size (IMO)

Bumrah has to play in OT, Oval may as well be a dead rubber and we won't need him in that case. When the series is alive, your best weapon has got to play. 9 days is enough rest.

Why make stupid statmenets before the series that my player will only play X number of games? Self imposed pressure, not needed at all. Even if that is team strategy why reveal it before the whole world?
