If you have lived here for over 15 years are settled, meaning you have a running income,  have citizenship or greencard, then there is no better place on earth - but again that last sentence might come of with bias. Any country for that matter where you are financially good and have residency will be great to live and will feel like best place on earth to you. Whether India, UK, Australia, Canada etc.

 

If you are trying to immigrate now or have immigrated in last 5 years, I will probably not comment now since things have changed recently for worse in terms of H1b where at some point those who were getting their Green Card in 15 years aren’t even getting for 50 years now or have no hope. So you have to see which pool you are in.

There actually is no better place than US if one has migrated professionally and reached a stage of permanent residency

Depends on what is important to you. I have lived for 2 years or more in 6 different countries. If money, material comforts and career growth are important, no better place than the US. No place rewards hard work better than the US.

 

If leisure time and warm weather is what you like, then Mediterranean Europe is great.   

 

If social equality, good quality of life for most people, and government funded support programs (healthcare, education, etc.) are  important, then move to the Scandinavian countries.

 

If you enjoy social hierarchy (being treated like sht by those above you in the food chain, and at the same time the opportunity to treat below you as sht), then you'll like the Middle East.

 

If you like working like a dog and getting rewarded without having the time to enjoy rewards, then move to Hong Kong.

 

If money is not the number 1 thing, but you want to have a comfortable life in a developed English speaking environment with lots of immigrants, then  move to Canada/UK.

I’d rather live here even with all  the nakaratmak stats than any where else other than in India. Not a destination for Indians anymore. People looking to leave India should look at UAE  or Germany for now

If you came in the 80s/90s, are well settled and have your citizenship, sure.

 

If you currently looking at emigrating, I'd choose somewhere else. UK, Canada and AUS/NZ would be my picks for families.

 

If you're a digital nomad, than anywhere in South East Asia (Bali/Bangkok/Singapore) or Europe (Berlin).

 

I'd go to the US for a visit. You can never get bored.

if you had come to the US 15-20 years ago, or even latter but have a green card or citizenship it is a great place to live. Great roads, people you see are generally polite, you won't see much office politic like in India.

 

But if you are on work visa in the US, you siutation has become dramatically worse after Trump 2.0.

If you think world is unpredictable and is happy with chaos, india will not bother you.

 

But if you want a predictable and organized life, immigrate abroad.
