Since the year 2000, 117 seats have been crossed only once (2021). Poor returns for a party with a long history. Points to a robust political media nexus ecosystem that ensures survivability, but a very poor governance model. The GDP growth etc the wealth and welfare are not felt by the people of TN. ADMK returned to power under MGR (undefeated) and Jaya (2011 and 2016). So it can be done. If Congress join hands with vijay for Lok sabha, DMK can expect a significant reduction in their lok sabha numbers as well. Not that it currently matters anyway given those 22 are pretty much useless atm. Maybe DMK TMC CPM (unless they join Vijay) (potentially Samajwadi) can form the third front. Cause if Cong do end up with Vijay you can expect DMK to be pushed out of INDI.

BJP Won only one seat out of 28 contested and he made sure that no vote transfer happened from either admk or pmk to BJP. Sidelined annamalai successfully before the election itself. Opposition is not something new to DMK. They're primarily an opposition only since the days of nehru itself

No parliament seats, mla seats dropped from 75 to 43. That's quite a fall. There's no proper leadership as well. But I guess that's your plan all along.
