IPL is our soft power, having a BD player isn’t all that bad. India seems to be reaching out to BNP, hoping to slowly normalise relations, we should see where that goes.

Don't compare them with the motivation and passion Eelam Tamil had. Doval knows this very well. I'd rather arm some Random Chittagong Hill tribes and start insurgency in the region... And in case of a serious counter offensive from BD in the region, use that as a Pretext to invade.

If history has taught us anything meddling with other countries directly never ever solved any issues. Vietnam war i s a great example. Catastrophic failure. 58000 americans died. Especially siding with one group and fighting against other groups never go well. At the end you see massive financial, human losses. Everyone has to resolve their own problem. USA meddles because that is necessary for them to be at war with each other. ALl the countries should be in unstable state. So they indulge and make it more complicated

While Vietnamese were battled hardened fighting the French. Also We know the terrain like the back of our hand. Once Chittagong is cut off from Mainland Bangladesh they can do nothing to us in a counter strike. Entire country would be bombarded like no Tommorow.
