Afghanistan should not be counted in South Asia. Their culture is very similar to that of Iran and even Taliban have class to not indulge in this sort of treatment of minorities.

There are no minorities left in Afghanistan. From a well flourishing community in the 70s, even the Sikhs have been driven away post Taliban takeover...there was one Hindu left maintaining his ancestral property but even he has left. 

 

All Muslim countries are the same when it comes to treatment of minorities. Afghanistan, Maldives are worse than Pak/BD in the sense that there is not one non-Muslim left, in Maldives if someone declares he/she is non-Muslimn or atheist, straight execution, no trial or anything like that. Malaysia has has made life hell for the Chinese and Indians there, just that they have better PR. Kafirs have it better in Gulf countries but that is purely a transactional relationship, none of those kafirs will ever get citizenship in those countries.

Last year, half a dozen labourers from Murshidabad were executed in cold blood in Kashmir. All dark skinned, Bengali speaking Muslims, who were in the masonry business (Murshidabad is famous for that profession). 

 

In SM spaces like reddit/Kashmir, all the Kashmiris were celebrating and wanting more blood, didn't make a difference to them that the victims were from the same religion. KMs definitely look down upon dark-skinned Muslims in the SC, not only are they religious bigots but the most racist community in South Asia. Even in Pakistan, the Kashmiris there hiold supremacist views wrt other ethnicities. @Lone Wolf is right. There is no redeeming feature in Kashmiris. 

 

Also you may not like to hear this, but many Kashmiri Pandits too hold supremacist views, they think they are superior to other Hindus in India. That is why in initial phases of Kashmiri azaadi movement, many KPs were silent supporters/enablers. Jammu Dogras gave them overnight shelter when they were driven away from the valley, but you will be surprised to hear what KPs think of Jammuites even today.

It doesnt matter if if comes muslim vs non muslims they are all same. What they do among themselves is not the point as far as kasmir issues.

Kashmiri pandit had that view as nehrus and other leader made them privilege after kashmir merger with India. My wife is Kashmiri pandit and i am hard core purvanchali.So yes they used to frel privelege because of special treatment offere in past and not due to skin color.

There is some difference Kashmiris showered lot of hate towards Sarfraz Khan online when he married a Kashmiri woman in Kashmir @Gollum might know of it as well.

 

Point was solely about what Kashmiri Muslim thinks about an outsider even if it shares similar faith.

These Kanglus will be among lowest tier when it comes to their priority and for a good reason I think.
