This time when i went to India , I realised that my requirements like electricity, water and Road will be met in India. Only question with me is kids and their future. One is doing A levels and is expected to start medical school in September. Second one is younger and still few years left to start Uni. So, I generally plan what i will do 10 years from now. It means i have started my exit plan beginning with seriously looking for a plot in Varanasi or Lucknow. Will prefer Varanasi. I am mot only one. One of my US friend moved to Banglore. Another one has just went to India to create a resort in Andaman Nicobar. PS: i did. Consider Dubai but am inclined to India. Most of my money is dependent on investment in maket. So its immaterial where i live after 10 years. I would go for lucknow. Went there after 20 yrs. It has changed plus CM is putting a lot of effort. mishra 1

I dont know about you, id rather deal with a few missiles in Dubai than live here I think the job losses, to a certain extent, would have continued without the conflict. More structural process. AI + dumb government policies are inducing more job losses. A close friend of mine and I had speculated that the post covid the world is so geopolitically on edge that interest rates would never reach the lows of last decade. Watch as house prices slowly decline as well. Honestly think 3.5 to 4% base rate is the new normal. Expect gas prices to hurt badly in Q3 2026. Energy will buy futures now to secure supplies. We are in March where gas usage typically declines anyways, bsriharsha 1

They stood up, resisted and fought back hard. This shamefulness (and cowardice) dont allow them to accept the mistakes of their ancestors (you know what happens to the ones who revert). Hence they try hard to latch on to whoever they can. Laaloo 1

P.S. ...Varanasi, though improving is still far from becoming a city to live in comparison to some other B tier cities like Bhopal, Vizag, Indore etc. Biggest issue with the cities of UP is they're extremely crowded, by default. People are so used to chaos there that any sense of discipline comes as a shock to them. In comparison, cities of MP are less crowded and more disciplined. I sometimes regret the decision when my father sold the plot at Rewa to settle entirely in Varanasi. I was myopic and felt Rewa being a small town wont develop much. While my friends who live there have bought plots long back in early 2010s at extremely cheap cost and now the rates are 8x to 10x times courtesy of the development. mishra and express bowling 1 1
Lone Wolf Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Obama tricked us into signing LEMOA.. we can't do anything anymore. Col Douglas was making similar statements that US warships are docking on Indian ports.

I am from Prayag(1 mile from Kumbh) Missus is ancestorirly from Sultanpur. We have a flat in Delhi, Missus home is in Gomatinagar Lucknow(Think it will be availble but its too far from Airport). One of considerations for me is to be travel to London at will as kids will end up in West. I am not thinking in terms of making money in Indian real estate. I just want to take most of my moniez and be back in India within next 10 years (may be open a Hospital once we reach there). Edited March 4 by mishra randomGuy and singhvivek141 2

IRIS DENA apparently sunk closer to SL waters after attending Indian Naval exercises which was attended by many countries in the region. (US was invited but chose not to come, understandable) President Murmu was there including Indian Naval chief who met Iranian delegation. Apparently Submarine action is believed to be the reason. And I don't think we have much of a choice when it comes to LEMOA in case the American vassals need immediate repairs and have to dock nearby.. they will. Edited March 4 by Lone Wolf randomGuy 1
Lone Wolf Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Didn't knew it had been so long lmao, there haven't been major Naval battles since decades now. randomGuy 1
randomGuy Posted March 4 Posted March 4 ^^That means US warships in Indian waters are fair game for iran. In iris Dena sinking, 100 Iranis are missing. 40 rescued thus far by SL navy. This is why I was suggesting east coast.

Iranian Ballistic Missile threat seem to have pushed them deeper into the Indian Ocean and LEMOA is activated. This could be messy if this escalates randomGuy 1

gattaca Posted March 4 Posted March 4 (edited) Indian foreign policy in shambles. They are clueless. Dont we say we are neutral ? Indian foreign policy is wait and watch till the fire subsides. This is repeating pattern. If we invited someone and they get attacked in our waters is bad rep. we have no clue what we are doing. Atleast European countries are standing up.
