Vancouver Posted March 10 Posted March 10 It is now clear that regime change in Iran is highly unlikely. The real beneficiaries may be Russia and China, while India risks diplomatic fallout after refraining from condemning US/Israeli strikes and appearing aligned with their positions. Historically India has followed a non‑aligned or “strategic autonomy” approach in global politics but this time we appeared overtly pro‑Israel, even on jingoistic levels.

Plus even if there is no regime change, this will be puppet regime with its wings clipped. And we have no relation or trade with Iran. Pro Israel on jingoistic levels ? Why what did India do ? MK55 Posted March 11 Posted March 11 (edited) The longer this engagement continues, it’s detrimental to the narrative. The thing is that Iran - being such an embarrassing and an antiquated / Cold war era defense force - can always fire some random drones and cause a nuisance. It’s also expensive to guarantee safety / insure the strait. Most if not all of the navy / main targets / air force are already wiped out. Probably best to intensify the engagement 3x / 4x with precision and get this done with in the next 2-4 days. Anything longer is not going to accomplish anything. Markets need stability - even a psychological signal is more than enough. Edited March 11 by MK55

Pakistan...and winner? There is severe oil crisis in Pakistan, people are shooting each other at the petrol pump. Lines worth several kms are seen on petrol stations. Recently petrol and diesel saw a hike of 80 PKR. On top of it, soldiers are losing lives against Afghanistan conflict. Numbers vary from 80 to 500 soldiers as uts tough to say exactly due to media ban. Pak isnt able to mobilize its troops as India has also adopted an aggressive posture at the western border. Making matter worse, India has increased desilting of dams, and the flow to the rivers (except Indus) is lowest, food shortage is at their face. Best of all, Saudi have pushed Pak to send their troops and defence equipments. Pak has shifted its radar detection from Jacobabad airbase to Saudi and is also planning to send troops. If that happens, Iran may shift its barrage of missiles to Karachi port and burn it down to Ashes. Not to mention civil unrest by Shias. Laaloo, Tillu, sorak and 3 others 1 2 3

This, for all practical purposes, is a new regime in a way. They will make IRGC even weaker and allow the professional iran army to take over and make ayyatollah a figure head.

Couple of well guided missiles were enough to make them come grovelling. The Iranians have more than enough shahed drones and missiles to bomb Karachi port to being unusable As of now , Iran has refrained from major attacks on Saudi Arabia. Not because it fears Pakistan, but because it can't afford to have another battle front open up. But if Saudi forces Pakistan to engage , then Iran goes on full suicide mode ravishingravi and Sgattick10 2

Non Renewable sources like Coal, Oil etc are anyway gonna exhaust. Nuclear can give us electricity for ages. Solar, Wind etc have limited usage in urban centers.
