Regarding last night, not even once I thought England would chase it down even when Bathell & Jacks were going big. The RRR never dropped below 13 and Bumrah had 2 overs left in the death.

Yes.. they had Kallis at the 40th over and still choked. Sehwag's bowling was very underrated

You need nervlessbowlers like Bumrah, Pandya, Arshdeep to do these things. Most of the time nerves get the better. But i think Siraj on day 5 displayed true skills alognwith Prasdham as England has all the time in the world to make 27 runs

It was gone for all the money. I had switched off my TV and went back to my room to watch Netflix and distract myself but suddenly started hearing people screaming outside. So I turned the TV on and couldn't believe my eyes. 30 off 30 somehow because 16 off 6. 

 

Bumrah , Arsh and Pandya were something else that day.

I have never seen a witch hunt like that. I remember an ODI match in 2012 where we were beating Eng and suddenly English commentators (and Tony Greig who became blatantly anti-India in his later years) started talking about our lack of medals in Olympics, and making fun of our commentator...they just needed something to latch on to to demean India. The vitriol was too much, and we were not good at giving it back, our fans' SM behaviour was also very apologetic. 

 

Of course now their criticism is toned down or veiled, thet still hate us. But are more subtle about it.

 

2011-15 was a depressing time to be an Indian fan. Our onfield results were bad, we had become a butt of jokes, this CT win was like oxygen back then. Better that it came against those Poms, in their backyard.

Man 2011-15 was really horrible time to be indian fan.  Kohli was only light in era of darkness.Pomies&Aussies mocked us like anything. Post 2016 when their players played in ipl did likes athers&nasser stoped condescending attitude towards indian cricket. I believe goras truly started respecting us since our series wins in Australia in 18/19&20/21

Very few bright spots, like CT 2013, whitewashing NZ and Aus in home tests. 

 

But turning point was Kohli becoming test captain and our brave runchase attempt in 2014 Adelaide, that was a trailer. Then the SL tour of 2015 and we were back in the hunt. 5 consecutive ICC test maces isn't talked about enough. 

 

And ofc, nothing in our cricket history comes near 20-21 BGT.

Dhawan is so under-rated. He was our MVP batter in ODI ICC tourneys - CT and WC - from 2013 to 2019. If he didn't get injured in 2019 WC, we beat NZ in the SF with Dhawan in the team.

Yeah followed by draws in england twice.

2024 WT20 match vs Pak has to be the greatest defense all time. 120 in a T20 vs a decent side (we can troll Pak all we want, that was right in their ball park) has to be up there. In this day and age it is incredible. The pitch was bad but it wasn’t that bad.

I shut the TV when Dube dropped that sitter of Rizwan. I had faint hopes of a win at the start of Pak innings but when that catch went down I thought it's not our day and moved on with my day. Was shocked to see we won by 6 runs!
