zen Posted May 5 Author Posted May 5 (edited) Wolves have their fate in their own hands as they are now mostly playing teams they are competing with for points: 05/09 v RR at Jaipur 05/12 v SRH at A’bad 05/16 v KKR at Kolkata 05/21 v CSK at A’bad Winning 3 out of 4 games will more or less ensure a playoff place without worrying about NRR. That's a tough schedule! Everyone other than KKR are playoff contenders. The CSK match could be for the playoff spot.
tapandrun Posted May 5 Posted May 5 This is gill's performance , sr drops by 30+ points and avg by 14 points this is bad. Here is the table showing Shubman Gill’s venue-wise IPL performance as of May 2026: Venue [1, 2] Runs Average Strike Rate Top Score Ahmbd 1,305 50.19 163.32 129 Outside Ahmbd 2,939 36.28 131.68 104*

Actually, it is good as GT wins take points away from those currently in top 4 (like it happened to RCB and PBKS). Additionally, SRH, RCB and PBKS play each other too, which means one of them could drop out of the playoff race. Ultimate_Game 1
zen Posted May 12 Author Posted May 12 At the top now. The Wolves got there by beating all the teams that were in top 4 before Now need to hold that slot and win the IPL
Lord Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Good bowling attack with a spicy home pitch is cheat code against hacks of ipl ably supported by Sai Would be interesting to see how they recover from a 20/2 type situation maniac 1

True the reverse is also a fair argument I just feel that gt specific bowling strength is neutralized on those flat tracks It would be interesting to see how they adapt their strategy when the pitch offers them absolutely zero help
zen Posted May 13 Author Posted May 13 Hoping that Sir Jos Buttler and Sir Jason Holder fire with the bat at the business end of the tournament
Bigg Brother Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Should try Connor Esterhuizen at some stage. Can come as surprise package.

zen Posted May 17 Author Posted May 17 (edited) With DC beating RR, the Wolves qualify! PS Not in yet officially as SRH can lose to CSK and beat RCB to end up on 16. CSK can beat SRH and GT to end up on 16. And RR can beat LSG and MI to end up on 16. Edited May 17 by zen Ultimate_Game 1
Ultimate_Game Posted May 17 Posted May 17 So two spots taken - RCB and GT. 2 more spots to go. SRH should get one and the last one between PBKS, CSK and RR, and DC with an outside chance. Like all 4 of them, especially the new DC with Porel and Madhav alongside Ashutosh. At the moment DC is the strongest of these 4 but they waited to late to find their best XI.
