If you are vegetarian you should try our pachadi aka chutneys like raw tamarind chutney pachadi etc

my fav is guttu vankayi pulao
Even the curry is good, but with rice the flavour is heavenly.

i would rather drink poison than having karnataka sambar , i dont like tamil sambar as well but its tolerable ..

i completely endorse @coffee_rules on mysore pa , my favorite sweet of all ( and it doesnt increase your blood glucose level unlike bengali tatti sweets )

Thanks, brother Velu. I don’t know who started the trend in Karnataka hotels to serve Sambar  with so much jaggery/sugar in it. It tastes horrible. I don’t know why it’s so popular in hotels. In our homes, we put a pinch of jaggery in Sambar just to balance out the taste of spices, sour and sweet. Serving Sambar with  Dosa is a more recent phenomenon and some older restaurant  don’t do it even now. I find Sambar made in Tamil, Telugu homes are more sour for my taste.

Yes, give me any besan or dal based sweet , especially with jaggery any day over the concoction of condensed milk mixed with heavy sugar syrup AKA Bengali sweets!’

Yeah same thing here. Mysore Pak is one of my two favourite sweets in India and the other being Ras Malai. I always make it a point to ask my brother in Bengaluru to bring me a box of Mysore Pak whenever he visits our home. It's just so addictive and melts in our mouth.

How is Sambar an insult :)  We blood all southies eat Sambar

Exactly, it runs in our veins . No wonder some haters Call us sambar sniffers , They should actually call us sambar slurpers !!

to be fair to CSK team, it’s not about Sambar , but it is the way how they say it with a strong accent. But even that accent, is common among all South Indians. Yum yen woh for MNO!

First part better.

You lost the plot after that. Ask any neutral here what he/she prefers, Bengali sweets or mud cake. Btw, all sweets increase blood sugar.

you have to research more..

besan is high in protein + heavy dose of ghee wont increase your sugar spike

watch this

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-4qrnt7bRiQ

even Bengali milk sweets are protein rich. Chhena is just like paneer.

Avoid sugar in all forms, including most fruits, your body will thank you.

Why can’t Indians be trusted on nutrition?
