mishra Posted July 27 Posted July 27 IMO there is more than what meets the eye here BRICS and UNGA summit due within 30 days. BRICS in Delhi Parliament session needs to happen for delimitation FCRA must pass Over 2500 OGWs in Kashmir detained There were many things which are/were time bound and could have been easily hijacked due to protest.
mishra Posted July 27 Posted July 27 (edited) There is problem in student protest which any government or person can not take risk. During my college/Uni days, I remember first Year students went on a protest. Long story short, Governors visit to our college was cancelled due to protest, Vice Chancellor of Uni nearly held hostage till 1 AM in morning and students burned his office when he sneaked past the protestors around 2 AM. I know that every student who were part of that protest is today running SMEs/MSMEs, corporate job and some are even in charge of maintaining law and order in state or state capitals. None of that would be possible if a case was registered against these "students". But operating words is "Students". And yes, none of them had any beard, None had patience to protest more than a day, No political party even came to know what was happening, Protest didnt last even 24 hrs. All done and dusted in few hrs. Edited July 27 by mishra Mariyam 1
Mariyam Posted July 27 Posted July 27 (edited) Attended the protest in Mumbai, briefly. This is by far the worst, vile most protest that I have attended. Completely regret going. Abusive placards towards the leadership, influencers trying to cash in on sentiment to increase their follower count, people in fancy dresses, protestors abusing the police and the army (why??). At the end of the day, you respect the position if not the man. He has been elected by the people of this country. Attended two major protests earlier: After the Nirbhaya tragedy in Delhi. The Mumbai leg of the protests were on point, with clear messaging and extremely mindful so as to not inconvenience others. Also attended a candlelight march in the aftermath of 26/11 and on its 10th anniversary. Very respectful somber occasions. There were calls to obliterate terror infrastructure in Pak, but nothing vile and abusive. Edited July 27 by Mariyam

If anything he should be questioning the mother pressurising her. Most of these kids stay abroad so form opinions differently. Whats wrong in that? 1 hour ago, Sgattick10 said: Sgattick10 1

National issues are different and bigger Just because they protested for one doesnt mean they are obliged for all saates. And if hes talking about states why did he omit Uttarakhand and Maharashtra? If he geuninely cares about Punjab he can protest himself or talk about it seperately. And other thing, in Punjab it was not paper leak but a cheating scandal. The cheating was averted and paper wasn't cancelled. Still the EM has offered to resign apparently and protests are still going on. None of that happened here as they didnt even acknowledge their own supporters even. Sure they are biased but so is everyone including Anand (and me). In this day and age unbiased opinion can be formed by listening to both sides Sgattick10, Lone Wolf and randomGuy 3
