They could have made it to semis Never confused BD ODI team with the T20 one. In ODI better bowling side usually wins. In T20 it's all about batting firepower and defensive bowling skills. BD doesn't have a lot of firepower with the bat in T20 format. tapandrun 1

So my opinion is based on what i see in terms of results. Tigers are slowly becoming a semifinal contender. Of teams like Newzealand Aussie india South Africa England Bangladesh all it needs is some luck and Bongs are in semis

Everything is downstream from there. Pak could actually be the no 2 with their massive population but their priorities means they will remain weak. Pakistan tries to military compete with a country with 12x GDP. This means they have to spend more as a percentage of GDP. Hence it affects other fields - education, infrastructure etc. Hence their economy grows slow impacting things like arts, sports etc. Hence India leaves them further behind economy wise. Rinse and repeat. Also the "sanctions" by India haven't helped. Bilateral cricket with India brings in a lot of $$$. Plus IPL and A tour matches always help in development.
