rollingstoned Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Same personnel more or less who looked all conquering cannot buy a win at present and opposition also is taking digs at them. It can't be that they all lost ability suddenly, is it only because of Iyer's captaincy or that Bumrah and Pandya are not available or something else? New guy, tweaker and express bowling 3
New guy Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Suddenly people are claiming all our batsmen lost their skills, bowlers became the worst, fielding got even worst. Either all of that suddenly became true all at once at the same time, or its one key change which affected the entire team. I know which option i am choosing. GoldenSun and tweaker 2

Lord Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Conditions missing Boom and Hardik poor bowling and catching poor captaincy
vvvslaxman Posted July 12 Posted July 12 They will just blame Bumrah's and Pandya's absence and escape.

We have in phases let opposition off the hook. But we always made a come back somehow. WHen Bumrah was thrashed around in Asia cup Shivam dube was the one who dismissed Farhan twice. rollingstoned 1
singhvivek141 Posted July 12 Posted July 12 India's T20 success depend a lot on its top 2/3 firing. Samson & Kishan lost form, leaving Abhishek alone to provide impetus. The day he fails, Middle Order gets exposed. Players aren also not looking motivated...mostly happens when you play a series after IPL as the seasoned players need some time to get off the Euphoria. Choice of players needs improvement. Everyone knows here that Prasidh isnt a T20 bowler, yet he is being played. Arshdeep is toothless without Bumrah. On top of Vaibhav / Samson saga just broke the morale of everyone. bowl_out, Vk1, mani sha and 3 others 6

rollingstoned Posted July 12 Author Posted July 12 Post ipl also in recent years Indian team haven't performed well immediately after IPL. I can think of the disastrous 2021 T20 world Cup and both wtc finals. singhvivek141, Suhaan and express bowling 3

Bigg Brother Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Reminds me of Post WC 2011 England series. Didn't win anything. Lost every match in all three formats .

Not having Bumrah but replacing him Prasidh Arshdeep types is another. Bowling attack was toothless on roads because no one performed even in IPL. In Ireland pitches were juicy so bowlers could hide( Prasidh was terrible there too). Their batsmen threw away their wickets tweaker 1
Stan AF Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Team selection, wrong players. Wrong captain . I've maintained since day 1 that selecting iyer into the team , let alone giving him captaincy is a disaster. Hence 6-0. Bowling without bumrah and hardik will always be difficult. There will be zero T20 WC without these two. Batting on tough conditions against a full strength Englis team was always a tough task. Manucrick 1
singhvivek141 Posted July 12 Posted July 12 2 hours ago, Sgattick10 said: Kinda agree with him One sad thing is BCCI dont understand what they expect from allrounders, also to the fact that selectors dont watch the domestic games except the finals or semis. Unless genuine allrounder, the allrounder should atleast have one skillset which should warrant his selection. Pandya even if he fails with bat with his improved bowling can provide you 3 overs with new ball and a wkt here and there. Someone like Shedge...if he fails with the bat, his bowling isnt sufficient enough to bail him out. That puts extra pressure on him coz BCCI has projected him as an allrounder. Sgattick10 and Lord 2
Sandz Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Until BCCI adopts horses for courses strategy, this will repeat ad infinitum.
