Relatives shut off letters and communication for selfish reasons. they meet only before the eve of ww2 as adults.but the differences between the environment begin to show when the dutch sister shows her fiance pic. The german remarks "for one moment i thought he looks like a jew". the other turns pale. he is really a jew! she does not like what she sees in nazi germany and starts suspecting her sister of nazi sympathies though the german is a "apolitical bystander" ta best. WW2 ends up with the dutch sister disowning her sister and her german origin completely after she learns she married a SS officer ,as hatred for the germans runs fever pitch when hitler occupied europe becomes free. Bon voyage- (french) A fun ride bringing comedy,spy,adventure in one film. This is set in the period june 1940 when france falls into the germans as different characters flee paris for southern france.There are prisoners who escape in the confusion. cabinet ministers who debate whether to surrender.a manipulative actress who manipulates everyone from childhood friend to the minister of interior. A scientist who wants heavy water out of france before germans catch him.Surprisingly good. la rafle-(french)- the shameful pro active role of vichy france in handingover french jews to the germans.A round up of around 15000 jews to the vel dhiv cycling stadium started the process of murder of around 77000 of 300000+ french jews. This film is about the roundup .Though Europe as a whole suffered from deep rooted anti semitism,holocaust was essentially the project of the nazi party and whether other non germans were too enthusiastic in helping the nazi occupiers is the question raised.

rkt.india Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Watched Don2 yesterday on TV premier, as I couldn't watch it when it was first released, wanted to but could not get the time to go out and watch, and it was a complete bore fest. There was nothing exciting in the film and did not bother to watch it after Vardhaan and Jabbar team up against Don before their heist act in the bank. It was very uninspiring. It had no story, just some random incidents happening with no real conviction.

She is ordinary and nothing more than that, may be with the exception of Jab We Met, where the credit goes to the director. Come to glamour and Bebo is beaten flat by Katrina. . I liked her acting in JWM... Katrina might be more glamorous but lacks in acting skills. :headshake: The only movie of her I have seen is ZNMD and I have heard that that's her best one yet.
velu Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Watched "Wrath of the Titans" in D-Box installed korean theater. Had a booze party and then went for the movie ( company sponsored ) . Movie was really crap , and the movie effects like vibrating chairs during action scenes was more comical than intense.

They mixed fiction with reality and that is the freedom they take in Cinema. It was not a documentary, which will show real things. It is a fiction film just to entertain. Take movies just for that purpose, not for think about reality. It is presented as Bond cum Bourne and those films are not real as well.
coffee_rules Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Contagion - 4/5 - FOund it very good, unlike the reviews. Some drama was yawnsome, but otherwise keeps your interest. Only Jude Law was unbearable.
