And goofups also. Agneepath was solely Amitabh film and is remembered just because of him and his performance. Otherwise' date= director had goofed up the story and screenplay big time. And it was a flop at the BO.
Thats dependent on person. You obviously call it Amitabh's movie, I do not. Mukul Anand and Amitabh worked in 3 movies - Khudagawah, Hum and Agneepath. These 3 movies were the brightest star in Amitabh's jewel at the time considering he was belting Ajooba and Jadoogar back then. Again just to re-iterate, Amitabh is terrific in Agneepath, but Agneepath is a stylish underworld movie that was Mukul Anand's work. You can spin it differently of course.

Was this the sole reason for it to be flopped?
From my recollection, yes. Everyone hated Amitabh Bachchan's changed voice, but when it was redubbed it did better business though by then the negative publicity had already taken it's toll.

Aamir Khan should be compared with the likes of Shatrughan Sinha. Both B grade actors' date=' Aamir just happened to be born in an era where the number of pseudo intellectual fools to be influenced by his supposed "acting" has grown exponentially.[/quote'] :haha:

I have not watched Bollywood films for a while, but in the late 70s and 80s was a HUGE bachchan fan. Saw Sharaabi 8 times in a span of two months! :D If he was in Hollywood, he would have reached the cult status of Brando, DeNiro, Pacino, etc...may be more....he is that good.

Saw it yesterday night(not for the first time). Apart from Amitabh(who was great), the songs and Jaya prada are also pretty good.

Big B is my all time favorite, I never really attached acting with Big B even though he is a good actor . It's his thunderous dialogue delivery his persona, his screen presence that made him such an icon and a megastar. This comes naturally to you, not by learning in any acting school. Sirf Big B ki Awaz hi kafi hai to clap and admire him :hatsoff: I don't want go into acting comparison, because it's useless and pointless
