Ultimate_Game Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I think Mumbai have hit upon a novel plan this IPL, i.e. do away with the buddhas (also referred to as Pondulkar/Tenting) at the earliest, preferably in the first 3 overs or so and let the stroke-makers in KKD, Pollard, Rohit etc. come out and win it for Mumbai :haha: Way to go Mumbai and well played! :two_thumbs_up:
BeautifulGame Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 And we all know how all strategies go when it comes to knockouts :hysterical:
asterix Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Not gonna work. You think those 2 Oldie Jokers are stupid and let this happen?
Zelig Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Not gonna work. You think those 2 Oldie Jokers are stupid and let this happen? :cantstop:
vvvslaxman Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 They always start in grand style and get blown away in a crucial match and go home crying :cantstop:
Mariyam Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Yesterday, my divine presence in the stands was the main reason MI won the game.
rkt.india Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Yesterday' date=' my divine presence in the stands was the main reason MI won the game.[/quote'] your holiness :hatsoff:
oneANDone Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 DK thought, tendu out bcz of him.. so he has a point to prove.. ultimately played ballistic innings. So here is the plot 1. let DK out by Nohit.. and Nohit goes ballistic 2. let Pollu out by Raydu.. and Raydu goes ballistc 3. let Raydu out by Nohit.. and Nohit goes out as well
asterix Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 MI's another key to success is to employ million $ Waterboy, Maxwell.. :agree: I don't see him playing in many matches as he's already proved his ability in carrying water which transforms the batsmen and make them go ballistic...
rkt.india Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Aakash Chopra @cricketaakash 14h Can't believe that Rayudu is worth only 65k dollars...Maxwell, who's not even playing in the XI, is worth a million. Aakash Chopra @cricketaakash 11h A little disappointed that Rishi Dhawan didn't get to bowl or bat...hope he doesn't make way for someone else in the next game! Why did they pick him then? MI team
asterix Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Why did they pick him then? MI team  He replaced somebody's favourite Munna.. He'll get as minimum chances as possible..it's happened previous IPL editions too...John Wright might try to select players from 'outside the favourite group' but things will happen the way as instructed by another power centre...
philcric Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Mumbai has a very very good team. The only obvious problem for them is Ponting as captain. Ponting the captain is fine, but having an overseas player who isn't a proven T20 player is problematic. You can't drop him if he isn't playing well, and you are wasting a foreigner's one of the four spots. I don't think Sachin is a burden on MI. He averages 30+ with SR of about 120 which is fine, a bit similar to Dravid. This season he was run out twice and got a dodgy LBW against him. So, harsh to say he isn't playing well (yet).
putrevus Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 David I Gower @DigGower Good tactics by Mumbai Indians......get rid of the 2 old fellas at the top of the order and then start the match ! Awesome tweet from Gower
someone Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Well, maybe they wanted a good captain and thus brought Ponting. But seems like he is non-performing captain with the bat.
G_B_ Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 MI's another key to success is to employ million $ Waterboy, Maxwell.. :agree: I don't see him playing in many matches as he's already proved his ability in carrying water which transforms the batsmen and make them go ballistic... special water the key to mumbai's success thus far.
mr cricket Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Either get rid of both grandpas or just move Ponting to no.3 (his natural spot).
