"I don't think anyone in this Indian team is frightened of anything. Regardless of the loss the other day, you didn't see anyone sort of closing their eyes to bouncers or getting out throwing their bats around. We were trying hard to counter the bowling they came up with, and they were bowling in great areas, but you didn't see anyone sort of moving away from stumps and trying rash shots or anything like that. We were all trying to get into positions to play correct shots, but they pitched it in the right areas and were getting enough help to trouble us." Kohli's stepping out to Steyn happened because the Indian bowlers had conceded 358, and the batsmen couldn't afford to take any time to get used to the conditions. As it is they were not given any time to adjust to them before the match. After MS Dhoni, Kohli became the second Indian to mention the poor scheduling, but said they didn't have a choice but to accept it. "The unfortunate part is that we didn't get that too many practice sessions or practice games," Kohli said. "Our schedule has been such. It is unfortunate that we have to sort of play games and then get to know the conditions, rather than be prepared a week or 10 days before. That's all part of the busy schedule we have. We have got to go along with that, and be mentally strong to come back in the next game and perform better."

Even when we were winning in India, many of us in ICF were talking about the problems India would face in SAF. 1) Apart from Shami, we lack pace among the pacers in the playing 11. 2) Raina, Yuvi and Jaddu, all playing together , would make the middle order very vulnerable against pace and bounce. If casual spectators like us can understand then it is difficult to believe that senior pros like Dhoni and Fletcher won't identify these ? So , why have they not rectified these problems.

Our batsmen and bowlers deserve this humiliation. Rohit Sharma couldnt even touch a single ball. He kept swinging and missing. He scored 3 runs in 25 balls when we are chasing 350+. He got away with it against Aus thanks to kholi but it puts all the other batsmen under pressure. Dhawan - Looks like he will turn into another mindless Viru. Yuvi - If you dont want to face a ball, feign an injury and leave. Raina - WTF is your problem. If you are so keen to get off strike, retire. Have some dignity. You are an international player and if you are so afraid to face the bowlers, get out of cricket. Our glorious bowlers are just too good. Everyone was defending them when they gave 360 runs on flat pitches in India. I feel that they were lucky that they played on flat pitches that people forgave their atrocious bowling. Short, Slow and wide on any surface is bad.

Because MSD is not objective. He will subjectively keep supporting players that he "likes". The three you listed - Raina, Yuvi and Jaddu are his pets.

Even Shami was 4th quickest bowler. In SA, ball will not swing like England. So they need to hit the deck harder than just release the ball.
