Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar were great singers of the past. Abhijeet has a great voice. Sonu Nigam is versatile. Udit Narayan has a melodious voice.

I don't like debating on the old ones and greats from yesteryears, but the one from last decade and current, this is my list. I think those who grew up in 90s too or last decade and like INdian music, they would like these guys too. 1. Kumar Sanu 2. Sonu Nigam. 3. Mohit Chauhan. 4. Udit Narayan 5. Abhjeet 6. K.K - One of the most underrated singer of India.

Shankar and Kailas Kher are my personal favorite. Not many mentioned here have very strong classical base. So they are more light music/singers. Sonu Nigam is very trained as well.

I don't know ' date=' but he has songs songs of Barfi, Aashiqui 2, awesome singer , beats Mohit Chauhan in range/talent.[/quote'] Arijit seekha hua banda hai, classical music. Mohit Chauhan is a pure talent, never had any formal music training, came from a small town in Himachal and had a big struggle before he made his name with song Tum se hi from Jab We Met. No one has a voice like Mohit.

And then went on decline. and came back again.

Yes, he did come up with that album with his band Silk Route but that was disbanded and I doubt he got much success due to that. He mae his film debut in 2002 but his first real hit film song was from Jab We Met which lead him to further successes.
