Straight Drive
My clubmate was Rohit Sharma's coach. From the lengthy discussions we have over drinks especially about Rohit Sharma and his cricketing skills and attitude, even he seems to agree that Rohit needs to improve a lot as a test cricketer. He is highly talented is what many of us feel having seen him in nets for hours very closely than most fans who just watch on television. But in our opinion that is not enough unless other things are sorted out when we consider test match cricket. Link to comment

In fact imo every cricketer is tailented. But then as i said, talent is not enough unless it is backed up with a lot of essential skills required for test format. Link to comment

maniac
You don't expect your number 6 to score a 200 and take 5 wickets...so far he took a wicket as a 5th bowler,Took a fine catch and made 43 valuable runs and not to forget he is one of the best fielders in the side as well....A so far, hope will end up with a A+ effort. Cut him some slack guys. that was good outing ? even commentators who normally are not allowed to say much said its bad signs that he is playing and missing and getting beaten on this track:hysterical: he is missing straight balls just going outside off stump and yes scored some good shots but never looked comfortable and then got out to spinner for no reason Link to comment
