Breaking News: IPL governing council has issued a statement that since the eliminator was not played in the original venue as per original plan, there will be a rematch between csk and MI tomorrow to decide the elimination. Ravi Ashtray just confirmed it in a special edition of extraa innings..

Straight Drive Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 IMO MI played well to get in playoffs this time too. Very tough to win IPL trophy, a CL trophy and then follow up with back to back IPL trophy. No team has one that. Very tough ask. Well played MI.

Add that to 2011 WC and Test #1 rank, which is why Dhoni still has this massive following. MI won 2013 IPL and 2013 CLT20. MI won 2011 CLT20 with 5 foreigners, due to some "injury" of uncapped players. They were originally not qualified, but rigged the rules to allow 3 IPL teams into CLT20. And in 2012 they again rigged the rules to include 4 IPL teams when MI were placed 4th. lol
