Yadav was taking wickets of 130 kph to 135kph in all recent series. This is just making up fantasies to justify speed gun obsession

You are confusing Trundler Bhuvi with Umesh. Very few of Umesh's deliveries are at 130 to 135.

It is exactly due to this mentality that India has never produced a pacer who has averaged less than 26 while taking 200+ test wickets.

If more people had so called " Speed gun obsession " in India, we could have been a bowling powerhouse for decades.

The indian ones. Check his wicket taking deliveries, 90% is below 140

They may be or may be not but you are downplaying the effect of pace in test cricket. To me, it's all about what your strength is. Yadav's strength is pace.  It's highly improbable that he will bowl every ball over 140 but wickets most often aren't just the result of one ball but a spell and an over. Southee and Jamieson are tall bowlers. Their strength is different, accuracy, bounce, movement. Yadav's is pace and movement, mostly reverse swing.

Umesh gets Kane plumb in front with a ball that jagged in sharply at 138kph

it looked like a 145K ball as it came in very sharply.

Kane got out on a ball which could get any batsman in the world.

umesh bowled in between 132 to 138K after that. he tried to bowl the same ball again, same line n length but bowled a shade slower...between 132 to 137.5K.

had he got upto 142k , he would have got atleast 1 more wicket. ball is keeping low and a 140K ball can be very very tough to handle ..kinda like a 150K ball..but umesh was not able to increase his pace.

Missing the energy and intensity of Bumrah and Siraj on this slow track.

Ishant and Umesh are looking old and out of energy.

It's high time we start to phase out Ishant, Bhuvi, Umesh and  even Shami

Unless an old pacer has the energy and fitness of Anderson, no point in continuing with him.

Ishant is done and bro as you rightly pointed out Umesh unless he gets back to bowling around 145+ top speed, he won't be as effective on these slow pitches. His top speed is around 140-141 these days.

even Anderson won't do much on this track.

Not talking about this test only ... but about old pacers in general.

If an old pacer becomes unfit and starts losing steam, it is pretty much a done case or should be so.

that's true for Ishant but Umesh is fit.

1st test 2nd innings vs NZ till lunch

Average Speeds

Ishant.    131.9 kph

Umesh.  134.7 kph

And none of them have even touched 140 kph.

Both trundling and looking tired and low on energy.

Zero wickets and high economy rate.

They know that they will be used in short spells ... but they are bowling without intensity and effort.

What is the use of playing these old pacers ! Why are we promoting mediocrity  !

P.S -- They may pick a couple of wickets later on and the TM will be happy with them.
