vishalvirsingh
Ishant is competing well with Shammi. Has created opportunities to get wickets as much as shammi. Ishant is bowling similar pace as shammi And similar line n length. express bowling and LORD_analyst 1 1 Link to comment
Popular Post express bowling
Loved the Md.Shami interview He said that the instructions to the fast bowlers by the management were to bowl in the right areas and bowl fast This is the way to go Both Shami and Ishant had a high % of deliveries targeted between the top of off to top of 5th stump ..... put in a lot of body into their bowling and hit the deck hard .... bowled with pace .... resulting in extraction of a lot of life, bounce and seam movement from this apparently dead pitch Bhuvi and Shami bowled similarly in Eden barring the early spells. This is giving me a lot of hope for SA. Shami, Ishant, Bhuvi and Bumrah should be the first 4 pacers for SA with Umesh as the 5th. express bowling
What Nigel Llong did was unprofessional in the age of DRS A full ball by Shami had hit the batter on the pad plumb in front. Llong indicated that the ball had hit the bat, as the reason for turning down the appeal . We did not reviw as a result but replays and snicko showed that it was plumb LBW and no bat was involved Shami and India were robbed of a wicket vishalvirsingh, LORD_analyst and Rightarmfast 3 Link to comment
express bowling
Bharat Arun interview, praising our fast bowlers. http://www.bcci.tv/india-v-sri-lanka-2017/match/03 Arun is doing a good job .... most of our pacers are combining accuracy with pace while hitting the deck hard. Getting wickers too. vishalvirsingh 1 Link to comment

King Tendulkar
I have no exact stats . But late in day shami and ishant were still bowling many balls at mid to high 80s no dropping to low 80s or to below 80 . Vilander, express bowling and Rightarmfast 1 2 Link to comment
Vk1
Shami seems to be bowling at his best. The way he extracts edges on these indian pitches is amazing. If he can help us in winning outside.. should be treated as a ATG. Outstanding bowler. LORD_analyst, express bowling and vishalvirsingh 1 2 Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
my prediction before the match was Ishant would do well but not as good as Shammi but it seems as both did equally well. i will be cheating and biased if i say that Shammi bowled better than ISHANT in this Test. I was excited to see the contest going on between these two and i realised that IShant created equal no of opportunities. Ishant Hit the Batsman equally and created that FEAR Factor that I always Talk About and I value it very highly. I mean to say that IShant and SHammi both hit their batsman at least 4 times each and created Fear. i guess both got equal no of wickets till now...the competetion between the two still goes on as there is one more innings..lets see. But Yes Umesh was beaten black and blue in the previous test by Ishant and by Shammi in the first Test, indicating Umesh wont get a place in the 11 in South Africa as BHuvi/Bumrah could be the third pacer along with Pandya. i think it will be IShant Shammi Bumrah Pandya attack or a be BHuvi gets a chance. unless Umesh improves big time , he may get a chance to bowl in the nets. india has taken a very strong Pace attack. Speeds I saw today Shami 135 k to 143 k Ishant 135 k to 143 k Both pacers bowled lots of quick and hostile bouncers, as you said, and got good bounce off normal balls too. Mosher 1 Link to comment
