Zak was 135-144 bowler from 2000-2003. He then got injured on Aus tour 2003-2004 in first test that kept him out and he also gained weight during that period.

Indian pacers are much better at sustaining speeds nowadays, because they are hard-working, train smarter and work on their fitness a lot.

Umesh started off as a 140 k to 150 k pacer for 6 years and even now, at age 35 and 11+ years at the top, he can bowl 135 to 145 k when in rhythm.

Bumrah has been bowling 135 k to 148 k for almost 7 years now. Was bowling 145 k yorkers to the Aussies even with a bad back a few months back.

Shami cam still touch 144 or 145 k after 9+ years at the top. And his real age maybe in the late 30s.

Indian pacers of 2000s were lazy and got carried away by fame. Zaheer, Munaf, RP Singh, Sreesanth ... the entire lot became unfit and slower.

Zaheer was trundling for a good peruod in 2001,early that year against Australia he was slower than Prasad

Zaheer was like shardul in pace, but because shardul is a midget he is thought of as medium paced,if he were over 6ft they would call him fast medium.

Yes, right comparison.
Shardul has also clocked as high as 148kph in his debut match....however he looses steam as match progresses due to his poor fitness.

But he is not here and mentality doesn't change. Regarding foreign coach, let's try the one they have put in NCA Troy Cooley. Let us only play fast bowlers he identifies.

That is the biggest mistake which happened due to Ganguly and Dravid.Instead of giving him freedom and more authority they have shunted Arun out of the system itself to push India back to 1980s. To change that mentality it takes time coaches and captains have to back them thru thick and thin.

That is why I said Dravid has been worst thing which happened to Indian cricket in all aspects.

England score 506 for 4 in a single day against Bowling Pawarhaus   :phehe:

No matter how flat the pitch, this is a joke of a bowling effort.

Naseem Shah almost scores a century in a single day in a freaking test match with no wickets.   :phehe:

What speeds they were bowling, usually Pawarhouse bowlers bowl 145 in T20's, but then scratch in early to mid 130's when playing longer format.

Amir and Hassan Ali to even used to bowl in mid 120's..Abbas in early 120's

Rauf bowled a couple 150kph In early spell & was 140+ most of the times...  Others were Trundling.

Mohammad Ali looks like a journeyman trundler...  Naseem lost control & was bowling poor lines & lost good pace after thrashing.

they are only concerned about beating india every other loss does not matter to then its like winning kashmir watch this video this is the state of pakistani cricket

A looser at all fronts, only couple of sports are there where they are decent. No wonder, that's where their who energy is into.

India has left them in dirt at most of the levels... unfortunately our obsolete team selections has given them some leeway in cricket. Once we sort that out their public will go mad.

ZAK bowled peak speed of 148k in 2003 wc. Quite an attack that one Srinath Zak and Nehra all capable of 140 plus.

149.6 yup he bowled consistently close to 145 he was very good in WC elsewhere he was often close to 140 peaking 144-5 which is par 2003 sa speed guns had 5 kph extra for everyone. Akthwr hit 161 there right.

Not surprised that Chahar has been included in the lineup. These peasant minded timid guys probably have this idea, that there has to be one slow pace ‘swing’ bowler always  LOL. Dint Umran clearly out perform Chahar in NZ?

It is amazing that Chahar is preferred over Umran based on the form they displayed in NZ.

Umran looked so much better.

And they have their slow swing bowler in Shardul anyway. Why need 2 ?

Seriously this Rohit Dravid team has got F embarrassing to watch. It’s the mindset nothing else. Now they might choose to camouflage that with ‘logic’ or in whatever other ways, but it boils down to this outdated mindset.

There needs to be a discussion about our spin attack too. It is quite clear than our batters are not too good against spin. Our white ball spin attack has been poor ever since Roy and Bairstow manhandled Kulcha at Birmingham in 2019.

This has to be quickly corrected if we are to even have a whiff of a chance in the world cup.
